２枚組ミニアルバムともいうべき『HVARF/HEIM』から半年余、スタジオ・アルバムとしては通算５枚目。
基本的に『Takk...』路線を継承したと言えますが、楽曲がより個性的でバラエティに富んでいます。ポップ色が強まって神秘的な感じが後退した反面で、新境地にチャレンジした意欲作とも言えますが、逆に本作で新たなファンを獲得できるかというと若干弱い気がします。
次回作は本作での成果をより熟成させるのか、はたまた別のサプライズを聴かせてくれるか期待が持てます。

５枚目のスタジオ・アルバム。
夜の森、霧の中から青空へ。
今までにない“明るく、開放的な”アルバム。

神秘度が減り、ポップ度が上がったとも言える。

Sigur rosの音楽を聴いていると、泣きたくなるときがある。
ここまで人の感情を揺り動かす作品を作り続けておきながら、当のメンバー自身は、自分達のことを普通の人間だと言ってはばからない(笑)

特に７曲目。ピアノとヴォーカルで静かに始まるも、時間をかけてじわじわと盛り上がり、最終的には壮大なクワイアとオーケストラが展開する様は圧巻。

皆さんはお聴きになられていかがでしたか？　発売を聞いた時、前作『HVARF-HEIM』から、えっ、もう！？というタイミングの早さを感じましたが、聴いてその必然性に納得！しました。アイスランドから出て、NYなどのレコーディングは、( ), TAKK..からの流れを踏襲しながら、ひとつの完結を見て、
あらたなディメンションに移ったことをリアル＆ナウに感じます。
裸でボディ解放された、新しい自然感に。より自然に。深く。
いままでにない、明るく抜けた『青い空』へと。
アルバムの流れは、徹頭徹尾シガーロスの世界。
鼓動躍動のはじまりから、遥かに、遥かに深く、彼らしか表現できない深遠な淵へと。

あまりにも美しい音表現。“地球に、シガーロスと同じ時、生まれてよカッたあ〜＊”
単独公演、なにより感謝です。
『HEIMA』DVDカバーの美しい原野／山河は、もうダムの底に沈んだのでしょうか？
環境エネルギー最先進国／アイスランドの原河がダムに沈むことには、
ビョークやシガーロスと同じように、拒否します。
