オリジナルでみると4年半のブランクを経ての新作。嫌でも期待度は上がってしまうのですが、Eminemなので外すことはないだろうと安心をもって聴きましたが・・・いや〜やはりやってくれます！

先行リリースとなった『Crack a Bottle』がドレ＆50参加でソロではなかったこと、オフィシャル1stカットの『We Made You』が恒例のおちゃらけモードだったので、正直マンネリ路線かしら？なんて思ったりもしていたのですが、どの曲も素晴らしい出来栄えで気がつくと永遠リピートしてしまいます。『97' Bonnie & Clyde』や『Stan』路線の『3 a.m』（ビデオすごすぎ）も更に過激さを増してますし、『Medicine Ball』なんかの世の中なんでもバッシングぶりも健在。しかし極めつけはやはり『Beautiful』です。正直こんなにもストレートに感動的な内容をEminemが届けるとは予想しておりませんでした。この曲を聴くためだけにアルバムを買う価値も十分あると思います。

あとは全体的にUpなものが多く、さらっと聴きやすいのも特徴ではないでしょうか。プロデュース作も含めてどちらかというと重厚なEminemサウンドが全開だった近年の作品群よりもDreの色（それもキャッチーな路線の）が強いので、『The Slim Shady LP』などの初期の作品が好きな人のほうがわりとハマるかと思います。噂では冬に『Relapse2』のリリースも予定されているそうでそちらも楽しみです。

　暴走覚悟でひたすら語ってもいいのですが、それじゃ読む人が退屈だしレヴュー自体も冗長になるのでできるだけ批評的に考察を述べさせていただきます。

1,ラッパーとしての力量が全く衰えていない
　単純に、これには感心しました。引退も囁かれていた近５年間、実は水面下で色々と活動していたので完全にラップ離れしていたわけでもなかったようですが、それにせよこの健在ぶりは頼もしい。２nd期を彷彿とさせるマシンガンなフロウが目白押しで興奮します。「Underground」が特に超絶。

2,キムもヘイリーも出てこない
　実は、作品としては初めての傾向。また、母親ものは「My Mom」、『それでも俺は戦う』的な自己暗示型の応援歌は「Beautiful」一曲のみと極端に少ないです。曲調に関しては、能天気でキャッチーなものは先行シングル２曲くらい。あとはひたすら猟奇殺人、レイプ、ドラッグ依存症、精神異常を生々しく綴り、おどろおどろしいトラックに乗せたもの。グロというか言葉以前の不快感で言えば、全作品中ダントツ。

3,他ラッパーとのコラボが少ない
　プルーフの死がこたえたのか、D12の出番無し。あとはドレーとのデュエットが一曲と、EM＆DRE＆50の「Crack A Bottle」。ほとんどエミネムの一人舞台。私としてはこの方が好き。


　こんなところでしょうか。続編の「Relapse 2」の作風は同じものなのか、それとも全く対照的な内容になっているのか。もう完成しているそうですが、楽しみですね。

口撃の対象とするカリスマが満を持してのカムバック。


ジェシカ・シンプソンにはじまり

ブリトニー、サラ・ペイリン

気持ち悪いぐらい似ているエイミー・ワインハウスまでもが

登場するＰＶが印象的な先行シングル『We Made You』


５０Cent、Dr. Dreら仲良し三人組が

陽気に歌い上げる『Crack A Bottle』のほか


バグパイプとアラブ風のメロディが見事に融合した『Bagpipes from Baghdad』

唯一自身でプロデュースし、シングルカットが予定されている『Beautiful』


などファンならずとも聞き逃せない曲がずらっと並びます☆


なかでも、サイコの内面を歌う『3 a.m.』は

歌詞はもちろんのこと、

放送コードすれすれなＰＶも怖く

繰り返し聞くとかなりヤバイ感じになりそうでスゴクいい☆


年末には再びアルバムの発表が予定されているエミネム


時代のあだ花をどこまで狂き咲こることができるのか

まだまだ目が離すことができません☆
