なんといっても、この作品はフォーカスの代表曲である1の悪魔の呪文に尽きる！ヤンのギターが最初から吠えまくる。その中で心を和ましてくれる他の曲目もいいですね。ハードロックとクラッシックを持ち合わせた作品といえるでしょう！因みにベストアルバムの悪魔の呪文は短く編集してると思いますが？

フォーカスの名を世界に知らしめた傑作であり出世作。<b>クラシックとロックを融合させた独自のサウンドはキング・クリムゾンやピンク・フロイドの様にもっと評価されるべきだと思います。<b$)Bフォーカス>やイラプションのトミーをインストと言う理由だけで敬遠してしまうのはもったいないですよ！<b>ヤン・アッカーマンのギターはもちろん素晴らしいのですが、タイス・ヴァン・リアのキーボード＆フルートも印象的。とにかく、全ロック・ファン必聴の名盤であることは間違いありません！

オランダのプログレッシヴ・ロックバンドFocusの2作目です。今もって不思議だが、この作品
ほど第一印象の時からまったく印象変わらず末永く聴いてる作品は珍しい。
キーボーディスト兼ヴォーカリストのテイス・ヴァン・レールとギタリストのヤン・アッカー
マンがバンドの顔なわけだが、この二人は相性が良いんだか悪いんだがさっぱり判りませんよ
ね（笑）。ヨーデルを取り込んだ一種形容できないレールのスタイルと、カミソリの様に硬質
でありながら最高にキャッチーなアッカーマンのギタープレイが絡み合って不思議な高揚感が
生まれます。それにしてもホント好いギタリストだなあ...センスが半端ない。。。

独自のハードジャズロックでありながらソレ一辺倒にはならずに優雅でメロウな曲も創作でき
る何とも稀有な存在ですね。ちょっと離れられない悪魔的な魅力があります。あなたとの相性
はどうだろうか?
