待ちに待ったアルバム、一通り聴いてみました。
印象としては『AnotherSky』に近い、前作を更に大人しくしたような感じで全体的にスロー、ミディアムなナンバーが多いです。
演奏もシンプルな構成のものが多く、バインらしいナンバー『フラニーと同意』もロックではありますがやはりシンプルな構成です。
個人的に『Glare』『また始まるために』がとても気に入りました。
正直な所、物足りなさも感じます、(最後が『wants』で終わり『あれっ?』て思いました)ですが、聴きやすいアルバムなので買って聞いてみてください!

出来だと思います。何いっても曲がいいです。ただ僕個人的には超えるはシングルで発表しない方がよかったと思いました。よくも悪くも確保できるセールス部分はあるのだし、何より最後の気持ち良さが半減した気がします。話がそれそうなので内容について触れます。曲構成は初期のようなドラマティックな曲展開は減って、全体的に簡素です。アレンジも分厚く歪ませ(すぎ笑 もちろん田中)たツインギターの絡みという彼ら得意のアレンジは減り、隙間が多く間で聞かせるものが多いです。これがすごい秀逸なんですが、どことなく生々しさを感じさせていいです。これは特に個人的な印象ですが、歌と歌詞の演奏との距離が前より近くなったような気がしました。 最後になりますが、グレイプバインが中学の頃のアイドルだった僕としては、10年過ぎてここ3作確実に面白くなってきているという事実にまずグッときました。 素敵なバンドだぜ!!

GRAPEVINE１年３ヶ月ぶりのニュー・アルバム。
個人的には煙草とブラックコーヒーを飲みながら聴きたい一枚（苦手だけど）。
特に「女たち」あたり。

渋い。全曲を通して聴いたときに自分が一番最初に思ったことがこれである。
前作もかなりねちっこい（いい意味で）作品だったが今作はあれを更にディープにした感じ。
前半のうねりを聴かせる展開も、「女たち」「フラニーと同意」のブレイクダウンを含めても
大人の余裕というか、少年らしさというよりはそんな感じがした。
雑誌のインタビューで「年相応になってきた」と田中和将が言っていたけど正にそれだ。
冒険心よりも安定感を維持する、あるいはそれを極めようとしたのがこの作品ではないか。

ギター・ロックというよりもブルース・ロック的なアプローチに傾いた気もする。
ポップさよりも、コアな部分（「CORE」なんて曲をシングルで切るくらいだし。ちなみにこのアルバムで一番好き）を押し広げた作品なので、
疾走感や勢いはほぼないに等しい。そのかわり、どっしりと落ち着いた大人のグルーヴをじっくりと聴かせている。
　さわやかに始まる「sing」や「Two」「鏡」などの腰をすえたスロウテンポのロックナンバー、
いつもと歌い方が違って聴こえる「女たち」、唯一のアッパーチューン「フラニーと同意」など
派手さを捨てて、地力だけで勝負してるような印象の作品だ。

GRAPEVINEのアルバムの中で一番ポップなのは「another sky」、柔軟なのは「circulator」、売れたのは「Lifetime」、
攻撃的なのは「イデアの水槽」というのが個人的な見解だが、「一番渋いのは？」と聴かれたら真っ先にこの作品を上げるだろう。
とにかく「じっくり聴かせる」ことに特化した、統一性のあるアルバム。
