時代劇に出てくるような、本格的な蛇の目傘ですよ！着物や浴衣には、洋傘もいいけどこんなクラシックな傘がよく似合いますよね。蛇の目傘は、大切な着物を守ってくれると着物ツウには人気の高い傘なんです。ただ大きいだけじゃなくて、普通の洋傘と違って傘につった雨水が、外側に流れる為、着物が濡れにくいからなんです。昔の人ってスゴイ！この蛇の目傘は、竹を裂いて骨を作り、そこに羽二重という絹布に、薄手の手漉き和紙で裏打ちしたものを手作業で貼っていきます。紙張りだけの蛇の目傘に比べて色鮮やかで耐久性が抜群。傘内部の受骨と言われる部分は、ランプシェードのように複雑ですが、全て手作業で竹と飾り糸で仕上げてあります。
