内容紹介
このコレクションは、コルトーがビクタートーキングマシン社に行った録音の全てが収録されています。トラック5のショパンのバラード第1 番の後半部分ですが、1925 年3 月、彼が初めて電気録音のセッションを行った際に12インチ盤の両面に記録したのですが、それはリリースされることがありませんした。しかし実のところ後半だけは第2 番の即興曲とカップリングされてイギリスDB853 という番号でリリースされたのです。(多くのコレクターはこのバラードの断片を1926 年12 月に録音されたものの一部だと信じてきたのでした)そのおかげで、この録音はEMI フランスとBiddulph よりリリースされていた「完全版」には含まれていなかったため(日本以外では)初めてのリリースとなります。
