７７年発表。かなりの頻度で登場するシンセ・ベースがアルバムの雰囲気を決定しているものの、彼らのイメージ通りの夏らしいポップスが、次から次へとカラフルに展開していく作品。元々予定されていたタイトルが『BRIAN LOVES YOU』だったことからも分かるように、全ての作品が共作を含むブライアン・ウィルソンの手によるものということで、彼らの意欲のようなものが伝わってくる作品である。前作『偉大なる１５年』より９ヶ月というインターバルでの発表、ブライアンのステージへの復帰等など７０年代では最も充実していた時期にもあたる。ただその割にはシングル・カットされたのは６．のみでいわゆるベスト盤に収録されることはほとんどなない地味な曲が多いのも特徴で、いわゆる隠れた名盤扱いをされる作品とも言えるだろうか？７０年代のベストな作品ではないが、充実作であることは間違いないと思う。
