６９年発表の２０作目で、このアルバムを最後に長らく在籍したキャピトルを離れた。前作とは打って変わって従来のイメージに近い明るい作品が詰った作品になっている。１．はもちろんだが、２．の涙腺を刺激するような美しいメロディとハーモニーこそビーチボーイズだと思う。実際に売り上げはともかくとしてこのアルバムから低迷期を脱していくため、キャピトル時代の作品群としてとらえるよりもブラザー/カリブ時代の幕開けとも言える作品だと思う。穏やかな雰囲気は前作を踏襲しているものの、曲はかなりポップな作品が揃っており、無視するには惜しい作品だと思う。ピアノが美しいインストの６．は絶対に一瞬ハッ！！とします。１１．と１２．は幻に終わったスマイルの収録予定曲だったもので、実際にブライアン・ウィルソン名義で出たスマイルにも新禄された。
