DJ NOZAWA、ECCYなど優れたトラックメイカーとコラボしてきたShing02の新作は、サンプリング・打ち込みを極力排した生楽器主体のトラックを軸に、
「和」というよりも「ヤマト」と言ったほうが適切な、野性味と物語性溢れるラップが展開される、ヒップホップ＆日本語ラップの驚異的な新境地を開拓している。
正直言って、『緑黄色人種』や『400』などで聴ける諧謔精神や、SFを意識したと思われるポエトリー・リーディング風のラップには、私はあまり感心していなかった。
批判精神が稚拙というか、板についていないように思えたからだ。
しかし、声明・尺八・薩摩琵琶弾き語りまで動員した「美獣（下）」までの一貫したストーリー性・コンセプトには、胸と頭が震えるほど興奮させられた。
日本の外に生活しながら、これほどまでに日本を憂えるその熱情に圧倒された。
続くたむらぱんをフィーチャーした「接近」からは、日常と愛を歌いつつも、決して「今の場所」に安住することなく、常に前進していこうとする気概を吐いているトラックが並ぶ。
特に「抱擁」で聴ける早口ラップは、フォロワーの追随を許さない高度なスキルを持っていることを明らかにしている。
ブックレットのリリックを見ると難渋そうだが、実際に聴いてみるとこのラッパーが伝えたいことが痛いほど胸に沁みる。
彼のキャリアの中でも最高の出来だろう。

いいですねぇ。この賛否両論っぷり。
ヒップホップが言葉を鳴らす音楽であるかぎり
誰かにとっては最高、またその他の誰かにとっては最低な音楽であるべきだと思います。
さすがシンゴリスナーのみなさん、いい耳してらっしゃる。最高です。

緑黄色人種や400は★5つです!
特に緑黄色人種を初めて聞いた時は言葉にできない、なんとも不思議な感情になりました…今聴いてもそうです
そして待ちに待ったアルバム「歪曲」
もうタイトルからしてかっこいい!!
早速家に帰って全曲聴いてみました!
shing02の独特な比喩表現と今までにない音!やはりかっこいいです!でもなぜか…心に響かない…
僕には説明もできないんだが…
「殴雨、焦燥」は気に入りました。
でも正直全曲深そうでそうでもないリリック…斬新でカッコイイようでそうでもない音…
なぜか、そんな気持ちになりました。
僕にとって今までみたいに「マチガイなく価値観が変わるアルバム!」と友達に自信を持ってオススメはできない作品
