　本盤は，ジミー・レイニーとジム・ホールという，なんとも地味な両雄が燻し銀の味わいを全面に押し出し，意匠を凝らして制作した，1960年代の隠れた傑作である。
　このアルバムの成功要因は，２ギターの強みを生かした両雄の緻密なアレンジ以上に，短いながら素晴らしく充実したソロを執るフロントのズート・シムズに尽きるだろう。もともと興に乗ると，寅さんのバナナの叩き売りの痛快さに通じる，いなせで気っ風のいいソロを吹く人だが，短いソロがかえってその旨みを濃縮したかのようだ。

　ちなみに本盤，数年前に一度だけ国内盤でＣＤ化されたことがある。しかし，限定版であったためほとんど予約だけで売り切れてしまい，小生も注文していながら買えなかった苦い思い出がある（結局，のちに幸運!が重なって買えた）。その折りに買い逃していた方，おめでとうございます。こんな地味録音，次はいつ再発になるか分からない。市場から消滅する前に，ぜひどうぞ。
