レーベルを去ったバンドを後ろから殴り続けたEMIだが、
ファンにとっては一つだけありがたいリリースがある。それがこのDVDだ。
Radioheadが音楽にも映像にも妥協しないバンドなのは知られたところで、
だからPVは常に意欲的なものが製作されるが、
公式に手に入れられるPVは多くは無い。
動画サイトで目にすることが出来るのはテレビオンエアの画質の悪いものばかり。
今回のリリースで、やっと高品質なPVが手に入る。
特に初期のものは、バンドにとってもあまり好きなものではないだろうから、
こんな機会でもないと発売されることはなかっただろう。
この収録数でこの価格はかなり安い。PVが製作される作品だからハズレも無い。
ベストCDを買うのならこちらを買うことを強くお勧めしたい。

過去を脱ぎ捨てることで進化し続けたバンドであることは間違いありませんが、過去の名曲に思い入れのある多数のリスナー達がいるのも事実です。



バンド側の意向でないことは確かですが、過去にリリースされた映像作品(PV集はたった7曲!)より圧倒的に買う価値があります。しかもこの値段。文句なく星5つです。

RADIOHEAD歴の短い僕は、今まで音楽だけでしか彼等の作品を鑑賞した事がありませんでした。 偶然、Pyramid SongのPVが店頭で流れてる所を今回初めて見た僕は、曲が終わるまでの5分間その場から全く動く事が出来ず完全に彼等の世界に魅入られてしまってました。Pyramid Songは大好きな曲でこれまでに何度も聴いていたのですが映像と一緒になる事でこんなにも世界が広がるなんて! PVを見終わり、彼等の世界からざわついた店頭へと我に帰った僕の心を、何か良い映画を鑑賞した後のような余韻がしばらく響き続けていたのを覚えています。正直、少し泣きそうでした…(笑)。 僕にとってはこのPVの為だけでも買う価値は充分でした。有難うRADIOHEAD。
