松尾監督作品は『ローゼンメイデン』シリーズでも『RED GARDEN』でも日常描写が評価されていましたし、その日常力の凄さは『紅』全体を通して大いに感じました。しかし、原作の大筋をあまり変えずに限られた尺でそれをやるということは、本筋を解決する終盤は大急ぎになるということでもあります。この巻ではそれが足かせとなった感があります。
真九郎たちは九鳳院に乗り込みますが、よくあるバトルものの構成と違って、紫を取り戻すための時間制限がありませんし、勇ましく乗り込んでみても為すべきことは紫の肉親との交渉なので、実は相手を殲滅したりする訳にも行きません。その条件で、ここまで最低限の描写しかなかった崩月流と角の話をするため、その強さの裏づけが不足気味です。
また、守るもののために強くなるべき３人目の人物＝蓮丈の権力の源泉が「当主である」ということなのに、最終盤まで頼りない当主ぶりしか示されていないため、彼の決意が実効性のないものに見えるのも残念ですし、まるでローゼンの真紅やRED GARDENのルーラのような、今後を俯瞰するセリフを紫の口から言わせるのが、彼女の利発振りを踏まえても余りに年相応でないのも気になりました。
しかし、人の決意の話の結末として、その結果を暗示するだけで想像に任せる終わり方自体は嫌いじゃありません。それに最後の紫と蓮丈の会話シーンから結末までの美しさはよかった。このシーンと、特典のために買わせていただきます。

最初は普通にみて面白いなと一度みてスルーしていたのだけど珍しくまた見たくなり、しばらくしてまた見たくなり、あれ?と思い知合いに聞くと「これは特殊な技法で声を先にとって映像をつけてるんだ」と作品をほめていた。確かに良くきくと声優が生き生きしており映像より演技を重点においた作りになっている。原作とは色々違うらしいが完成度は高い。女性(人を選ぶが)に見せたら意外に好評だったです。
