海外のクラシックス版を購入しましたが、非常に良い出来であると思います。

当時発売が見送られたキャラクターであり、同名キャラが何回かリリースされましたがオリジナルとは幾分デザインが異なっていました。それだけに今回のはオリジナルのG1（しかもコミック、アニメ版）を強く意識したデザインであり嬉しい所であります（ちなみにIDWコミックのストームブリンガーではこの姿で描かれています）。

マスクによる2つの顔を持つのがこの玩具の特徴ですが、このギミックはG1の玩具版、アニメ版の2つを両立させた仕様であり、非常に心憎い配慮といえるのではないでしょうか。

変形自体はこのシリーズで最もシンプルな部類に入ると思いますが、私個人としては最もツボだった商品でした。

マクロスに登場するバルキリーが元となっているスカイファイアー。全体のスマートなシルエットとヒロイックなカラーリングがあいまって、文句なしのかっこよさとなっています。
また、写真の状態にヘルメットを装着した｢バトルアップモード｣は、ヘルメットが大きい分全体の頭身が下がりますが、その分マッシブさが強調されて、印象の大きく違うシルエットとなるのが面白いです。
惜しむらくは、可動と強度。ひじの部分などにロールが設けられていないため、ポーズに関してはやや痒い所に手の届かない感じです。また、バトルヘルメットのレーザー砲など、全体にやや細いパーツが多いので、破損が心配です。
なお、｢バランスが悪い｣や｢ラチェットが広すぎる｣という意見も聞かれますが、脚を逆八の字に開けばフル武装でも普通に直立できますし、股のラチェットの遊びの部分はややゆるいので(個体差かもしれませんが)、気を付けや肩幅など微妙な表情もつけられますので、この件に関してはほとんどストレスは感じませんでした。

ロボット、ビークルモードと非常にかっこいいです。
頭部に装着可能なヘルメットのゴーグル部分の色が海外版では水色でしたが今回は赤色になっています。たぶん旧玩具のゴーグルの色が赤色だからそれを意識したのではないかと思います。でも付属の小冊子のマンガではスタースクリームの開発したマスクという設定なので偶然かもしれませんが。
ミサイルの発射や、パーツをスライドするとシュバッ!!、と展開するランチャーなどシリーズの中で最もギミックが搭載されていると思います。
このシリーズはどれも良く出来ていて遊ぶのが楽しいです。
