化学薬品での毛染めはかなり危険らしい。へナは自然の植物で安心。色を選べない欠点はあるが、身の安全を考えて私は１０年以上使用。
へナ１００％はかなり赤くなるが、きれいなオレンジ色だと思う。娘はニンジンというが私は気に入っている。藍の入っているものは落ち着いた色。ともに髪が艶やかになってくる。弾力も出て丈夫にもなるのでパーマはかかりにくいらしい。が、髪質は美容院でも褒めていただく。
使う時は、時間を長めにすると色の落ち着きもいい。私は最低５，６時間休日に。へナと石鹸シャンプーは地肌にもいいと思う。

使い始めのきっかけは、ドラッグストアで買った毛染め剤がある日突然ピリピリするようになったから、薬品じゃないものを使いたくて選びました。
最初は時間がかかるのが嫌だったけど、染めた後の髪に天使の輪が出来たのを見て、約１時間の放置時間がエステの時間と思えてきて、楽しみに変わりました。
ナイアードの３種類あるヘナをどれも試したけど、光が当たっても自然な感じだから、やっぱりこの木蘭入りのを選んでしまう。けど、値段が他のより高いので、コスト的には安いのと順番に使うのがいいのかも。
私の髪の長さはショートカットより少し長めなんだけど、リタッチで地肌中心に染める時１回に使う量は約３０ｇ、小袋（１００ｇ）で３回使えてます。
そろそろ染めなくちゃと思ったら、ちゃんと色が入るように、前日のシャンプー後のトリートメントは使用せず、スタイリング剤も使わないに気を付けてます。私が染めるのはいつもお風呂前の乾いた髪だから、刷毛で取ってもたれない位に、少しゆるめに溶いて、たっぷり載せてます。そのままだと”干草”の匂いが少し気になるので、粉を溶く時にローズマリーやゼラニウムなど精油を少し加えて楽しんでます。
