アーティストについて

VELTPUNCH 1997年結成。
東京を中心にライブ活動を始め2000年には米・テキサス州で開催された世界最大級のROCKフェス“SXSW”にも参加。これまでにリリースされた4枚のアルバムは音楽専門誌、一般誌等各メディアから高い評価を得る。
また、彼らの代表曲と言える“killer smile”のPVを見たASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONのヴォーカル後藤正文は「ひっくり返るほど格好良い」と自身のブログで大絶賛するなど、彼らをリスペクトするミュージシャンも数多い。
2005年にリリースされたライブ映像集『night skydiving』が好セールスを記録し、全国的にもライブの評判が高まる。昨年行われた「WHITE ALBUMレコ発ツアー」でも各地で満員の観客の中で熱いパフォーマンスが披露され、ツアーファイナルのワンマンライブではチケットがソールドアウトするなど正に今注目のバンドである。
VELTPUNCHの新天地となる今作で、待望のメジャーリリースとなった。

メジャーデビュー記念シングルです。
アニメにも使われているそうなので、そのアニメをみている方が買ってくれると思いますし、それによってオリコン上位にくると思います。そこで更に気に入った方々が買って、有名になってくれると思います。
初めて聴いた方はASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONっぽいと感じてしまうかもしれませんが、男女ボーカルの味が出て聴いてる途中でASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONっぽいという考えが消えてしまうでしょう。
それでもぽさが消えないという方は以前のアルバムを聴いてVELTPUNCHらしさを感じていってくれると思います。
1stシングルから応援してファンの方々には"あまり知られていない"というところからくる独占していた感覚が、有名になることによってその感覚が消えてしまってさびしいと思ってしまうかもしれません…。
しかし、多くの人に聴いて貰えることを素直に喜ぶことにして、これを機にまわりの人たちに勧めましょう！
曲はホームページでも視聴できますので、気になった人はぜひ手にしてみてください。

近頃アニメタイアップ曲にて、様々なよいアーティストに出会うことが多い。
このVELTPUNCHも言うに及ばず。それだけに音楽とは映像が常につきもの、
ということなのか―

「隠の王」OPテーマを飾る本作は、若々しい躍動感にあふれたナイスチューン。
今風の若者の素肌感覚を感じさせる独特の歌詞は、主人公の壬晴を始め、
かなりシビアな展開に置かれているのにも関わらず、いたって平然と
等身大の空気を呼吸している、アニメ本編のキャラたちにも重なる。
当たり前の弱さ、無関心の目線、退屈な日常―それが平凡という今この時。

それでも疾走感とともに駆け抜ける、一陣の風のような爽やかさ、
今まさに生きているエネルギーを感じさせるサビは、やはり本作の
決して運命に屈しないタフさを持ち合わせた、自然体、等身大だからこその
キャラクターの強さを思わせる。そんなアニメタイアップにて思う存分、
ここぞとばかりにバンドとしての強みを活かしている本アーティストは、
きっと本物と言えるのだろう。そして小気味よい、このとびきりの
音と映像のコラボは、たぶん思いきり成功しているのだ。

『退屈はもう限界です―』
躊躇（ためら）うことを知らないこの疾風（かぜ）は、
とてつもなくロックでクールだ。

かつての荒々しさは影を潜め非常に聴きやすい曲に仕上がってました。
いままでのVELTPUNCHからは想像できないような起伏のある展開で別のバンドのような新鮮さを感じました。
しかしC/WはこれぞVELTPUNCHって感じの曲ですね。
