北京語の歌にアレルギーがない限り買って損はありません。
小野リサを引き合いに出しているレビューが多いけど、ボサノバが中心なわけでもなくスモーキーなボイスのジャズです。David TaoのカバーI Love Youが一番好きかな。
彼女はyoutubeに別名でアコギ一本、ビデオをセットしてDoorsのPeople are strangeなどを顔をしかめて荒々しく歌ったものをのせていました。今は全部消去したようです。顔がふてぶてしいところもいいです。あまりメジャーでのデビューを喜んでいるようではないけど、次回どんなプロジェクトで帰ってきてくれるか期待です。

1曲目を聞いてその声にやられました。ノラ･ジョーンズのようでもありアデルのようでもあり、時々シャーデーを思い出させる・・・。アンニュイ漂いそれでいてノスタルジーを感じさせるスモーキーヴォイス。特に低音が素敵。
自作の曲もいくつか収録されていて曲作りもなかなかですね。既に台湾の音楽界で名を成しているお父さんと色々やり合ったとか、彼女の声の魅力をフルに生かしたものとなっていると思います。
どれもじっくり聞いていたいものばかりで、例えばジャジーなAs Love Begins To Mend（自作）、The Best Mistake I've Ever Madeなど。そしてI Love Youは聞くたびに切ない思いがじんわりと伝わり思わず涙ぐんでしまいそうです。
スパンダーバレエのカバーのTrueはアレンジもいいしノスタルジックな彼女のヴォーカルが素晴らしいです。改めて原曲の良さも再認識しました。
ビリー･ジョエルのカバーのNew York State Of Mind、いいなぁ・・・本当にため息が出ます。

どこか懐かしさを感じたりしましたが、十代始めからクィーン、ビートルズを聴き始め、クラシックやロック、ポップなど、様々なジャンルの曲を聞いて育ってきたという経歴を知るとこれからも楽しみです。
アデルもそうですが、彼女もまだ若干19歳。本当に驚嘆というしかないです。

若干１９歳とは思えない成熟した歌声に驚かされます。
台湾生まれのアメリカ育ち、父親は有名なプロデューサーとか。でもそんな七光りなんていらないほど彼女が輝いています。
まだ全曲聴いていないので☆４つ。
