長い間廃盤だったあの名作が、多くの要望に応えて単体で新装リリース!名曲「くたびれて」を生んだ1971年3月に収録された最初期のスタジオ録音で、2005年11月にリリースした限定ボックス『村八分BOX limited edition』にリマスタリング収録され、その後も単体でのリリースの要望が高かったこの音源が遂にニューパッケージでリリースされます。初のオリジナル曲と言われている屈指の名曲「くたびれて」、鋭角的なチャー坊の歌詞が突き刺さる「あっ!」、上原裕の17歳とは思えない卓越したドラミングに、山口冨士夫の鋭利なギターが突き刺さる「あやつり人形」など全6曲全てが代表曲であり、これを聴かずして「村八分」は語れない!

永く日本のロック史の謎であった村八分の唯一のスタジオアルバムにして、最高のロックンロールアルバムです。このスタジオ盤とエレックのライブ盤はやはり村八分、いや日本のロックを語るうえで欠かせないマスターピースであることは間違いないでしょう。内容は60年代後半のストーンズに深く影響を受けた曲にチャー坊が京都弁で凶暴な日本語の歌詞をのせたという感じです。チャックベリースタイルの"どうしようかな"に始まり、チャー坊と冨士夫が初めて一緒に作ったという名曲"くたびれて"、悪魔を憐れむ歌っぽい"あやつり人形"、差別用語連発の"あっ"などたった6曲ですが現在のロックの何倍もの濃さがあり買って損するということはないかと思います。お金に余裕がある方はBOXをwちなみにジャケはストーンズのギミーシェルターのパロではないかと勝手に思いってるのは自分だけ?

時代と共に、ロック?の定義も変わってるから、是非を問うわけじゃないが、今の時代のロックって、ゴミ売れ線ポップスみたいなのが大行進状態。
「僕、ロックやってます。」って言っても、誰も眉を潜める事はない時代。健全ロック、青春ロック?全盛期??

真のロック、村八分。1971年録音。この音の凄み、凶悪かつ卑劣、そして純粋な心情の表現。

素晴らしき、真性ロック。カッコよすぎて、腹が立つ!!!!!

色々と音楽を聴いてきた割には、音楽についてあまり語ることの無い
自分だが、チャー坊遺稿集ではじめて読んだ、
チャー坊がはじめてセックスピストルズを聞いたとき
「あ、村八分だ」と言った意味がはじめてわかりました。

ライブ！村八分だけではわからなかったところもありました。
