バンド名もさりながら全偏日本語の歌詞というポリシーや反骨心が感じられ詞も独特のセンスがあります。 過激さもありますが、安っぽさ、臭さ、嫌味がなく、イキガったガキっぽさもないセンス抜群のロックバンドです。 過去の若者から現代の若者まで聴けると判定し星評価は5つ★です。

もう10何年か前、私はこのアルバムの裏ジャケにもある京大西部講堂を出入りする、半アングラに道を外した京大生でした。
そういう環境だったので村八分の存在は何となく自然に知っていました。
でその頃、京大学生街中心部の百万遍交差点のレンタルCD屋で何とこのアルバムを発見！（いくら学生街とは言え、すごい商品選択ですよね・・・）
速攻レンタルしてダビングしました。荒削りで骨太ながらも、ここまでストレートスタイルのロックンロールにしびれてしまい、何度も聞き返していました。
「あッ!!」のヤバい歌詞のインパクトも、全体的な曲の流れやライブの雰囲気、そして「ぐにゃぐにゃ」のギターリフが大好きでした。
でしが、レンタルからのダビングで溜め込んだ何百本のカセットも数年前に処分し、村八分の存在も忘れかかっていました。

それから10数年、ついに復刻版をゲット！感動です。
本当にロックンロールの鑑みたいですね・・・。典型的なロックフレーズなんに、ここまでそれを濃密に凝集したのって、ありそうなのに本当に無いですね・・・。
こんなバンドが日本に存在したんだ・・・、と学生時代以上に感激しています。カッコ良さ過ぎるよ・・・。
「ぐにゃぐにゃ」の富士夫のリフはやっぱりカッコ良すぎ。チャーボーの味のあるダミ声のボーカルも素晴らしい。「水たまり」も泣けてきます。

村八分はストーンズをいたくリスペクトしていたので、それなりに聴き込んでいる人なら「あっ」と感じる所が見つかるでしょう。
それに加えて詞のすさまじさ(めくらとかびっことか...すごい)ここだけは誰にもマネできないところにまで昇華されてます。(ある詞はできるまで何年もかかったとか)
音質は文句なし。彼らのライブでしか味わえない迫力をご堪能あれ。
