最初「ガリレオ」はテレビで放映していることすら知らず、ＤＶＤを購入しました。主人公を演じる福山雅治君が物理学者を演じていることにびっくりし、ミュージシャンじゃなかったのかな？と疑問符を入れつつ、俳優さんにもなれるんだあと福山君の魅力を再認識させられました。さまざまな現象を物理学的に解明していく過程が実におもしろい作品です。実生活に身近な題材を一話ごとに完結して解決していくので、とても興味深くみることができました。柴咲コウさんとのやりとりもおもしろかったです。主題歌もいいですね。最近上映されていた映画”容疑者Ｘの献身”を見る前に見ていたので、より映画を楽しく観ることができました。

良くある科学捜査の事件解決法とは違います。
巧みに練り込まれたトリックを物理学者が物理法則から事件を解決する。というところです。
嘘の部分はなくすべて物理法則に沿ったトリックなので、物理の勉強にもなります。物理法則に沿ったっとは言っても、内容が固いモノではありません。
子どもの理系離れが騒がれている、今、これは子どもに見せるべきです。（難しい内容はありません）
福山雅治（湯川学）がドラマの中で事件のトリックが通ったときに走り書きしている計算式は、その事件のトリックに関係した本物の物理の公式だそうです。

本作品が始まる前はひとつの難事件を11話使って解明していって、犯人を見つけるドラマだと思っていたので、第1話を見たときに1話完結のドラマだと知ったときは少しガッカリしました。「なんだ、1話完結かー」と言う感想でした。でも、回を重ねるごとにだんだん面白くなっていきました。
　
　全話面白かったですが、香取慎吾がゲスト出演した回は面白かったです。この回が一番気に入っています。あと、水野美紀と大後寿々花が出た回、塚地と深田恭子が出た回が気に入っています。

　キャストはやはり主演の二人が良かったです。特に福山雅治の演技は凄く良かったです。毎回湯川が事件を解明するときにどこかに数式を書いて解明していくところは毎回楽しみにしていました。「今日はどこに書くんだ？」と毎回思っていました。助教授役の渡辺いっけいも良かったです。

　実は一度だけ見逃してしまった回があるので、ＤＶＤが出たら必ずもう一度見たいと思います。続編映画もとても楽しみです。こちらも必ず見たいです。
