狼と香辛料はアニメ情報誌で初めて知り、レンタルビデオを借り、他のアニメではない、商取引を主としたしっかりとしたストーリーとそれを鮮やかに彩るホロとロレンスにハマリました。
アニメのホロのイメージが強いため、コトブキヤさんからでたホロは、「こんなのホロじゃない!失敗作だ」と思い、初版の発売日のときはさして気にも留めませんでした。
しかしこのフィギュアは多くのショップで数日後にはどこも品切れだったので行きつけのお店の店員に「何故売れるのか?」と尋ねました。そうすると、これは小説版のホロとそっくりであるとの返事が返ってきました。小説を知らない自分にとってはすごいショックでした。
すぐ書店へ行き小説の表紙絵を確認するとすぐ合点がいき、さきにアマゾンのレビューを書かれた方々が高い評価をしていたのも納得しました。
気になりはじめ購入を検討した時は既にプレ値がつき買えませんでした。
時が経ち、グッスマから出ているものを購入し、このフィギュアの再販が決まったとき、既に出来の良いグッスマ版があるし、今更と思い予約は見送っていました。しかし、再販日じっくりショップで売っているのを見たら、大きく綺麗な瞳に吸い込まれ、手が伸びました。
雑誌などに載っいる写真は物足りなさを感じますが、実物はすこし赤らめ顔ですごく初恋をしている少女みたいでカワイイです。

きれい。しかも動きがあって絵になる感じがします。まるでロダンのように造形の才能に恵まれた人がいるんですね。ほめすぎですか？
掲載の写真はデモ展示用ということで、量産品のクオリティーが不安でした。実物はなかなか立派なものです。
服の左右に継ぎ目があり、腰のあたりに少しだけ接着に荒れがありましたが、問題ないレベルでした。これは個体差なので仕方がないのかも。もしスカートのすそあたりにあったら目立ったでしょう。この類の商品は、店頭で実際に確認して買ったほうがいいかもしれません。

ベースが麦畑のイメージとありましたが、芝生って感じです。もう少し毛足の長いものを想像しておりました。写真を掲載しましたのでご覧ください。

表情がとってもホロらしい。
ロレンスをからかっては楽しむ、少女の幼さ(外見ですが)をうまく表現しています。
デモ品を見る限り、麦をゆらす風がふいているような躍動感があります。
麦畑をイメージしたフロッキーベースが付属。
それを利用すれば、より作品のイメージに近づいたフィギュアになりそう。
