１〜７話までボコボコに打たれ続けてきた薄倖ヒロイン・比呂美ですが、
vol.5収録の８話と９話で状況が大きく変わります。
ようやく逆転のランナーが出塁した、という感じでしょうか。
起承転結でいうと、ここから10話までが「転」にあたります。
そして次巻の10話ではついに特大のホームランが･･･。
一方、これまで無邪気な愛らしさを振りまいていた乃絵のほうはここから暗転します。

比呂美を苦しめていた「兄妹疑惑」と「眞ママとの確執」ですが、
この巻をもってすべて解消されます。ただしその説明部分はほとんど無いです。
切り抜かれた写真や、眞ママのセリフから心境の変化を想像するしかない、という感じ。
この点に不満を抱く人も多いみたいですが、
個人的には省略して正解だったと思ってます。

眞ママとの確執問題に限らず、true tearsはセリフ・描写・説明が全体的にぼかし気味で、
意図的に視聴者をミスリードに誘うための、細かな演出が多いです。
描かなければ動くことのない、つまり意図しない動きは絶対にしないアニメにおいて
こういった演出をするのはかなり手間がかかることで、
しかも労力の割に得られる効果は少ない（伝わりにくい）ため、
実写ではともかく、ＴＶアニメでこういう演出は珍しいです。
おかげで、キャラクター達は見事な名優ぶりを見せてくれてます。
声優さんはもちろん、抑制のきいた「絵の演技」が本当に素晴らしい。

視聴者側に想像する余白を与え、繰り返し見ることで各々が行間を埋めていく。
これは、この作品を見るうえでの楽しみ方の一つ。
はっきりした答えや、分かりやすさを求める人には嫌われるでしょうが、
個人的にはこういう演出もアリというか、かなり好きですよ。

色々批判してる人がいますが、批判するなら買うな!レビューも書くな!このアニメは面白いです。いつも良いところで終わり、次回がとても気になります。

エゴによる裏切りや、逃避のために自分に嘘をつく、周囲の人たちの気持ちに気が付いていないなど、人間の醜い面も含めて正面から各キャラクターを描いていると思う。しかし、その感情を直接的には表現されていない。

オンエアは全部観ました。すでに発売された巻はすべて購入しました。何回も繰り返し観ていますが、観るたびに登場人物たちの気持ちを想像し、それを楽しんでいます。そういう鑑賞のしかたができる希少な作品と思います。
