~ストーリー~
バブス・ジョンソンという偽名を使って潜んでいる<ディバイン>は、卵しか食べない母親の<エディ>、不良息子の<クラッカー>、覗き趣味のある娘の<コットン>と共に、ボルティモア郊外のトレーラーハウスに住んでいた。ある日、タブロイド紙がディヴァインを「世界で最も下品な人間」 (The filthiest person in the world) と紹介したため、「我らこそが本当の世界で最も下品な人間だ」と主張するマーブル一家との争いが始まった!

ディバインが犬の糞を食すシーンや、歌う●▲の穴のシーンがあまりにも有名な元祖カルト・ムービーだ!

意外なように思われるかもしれないが
作品の上映中、映画館の客席では幸せな笑いが溢れていた。
場内に灯りがともって席を立つ観客たちも、何か憑き物が落ちたようなサッパリした笑顔だった。
あんなニューシネマパラダイスの一場面のような、劇場特有の一体感を生むフィルムはそうそうない。
今年になって待ちに待った無修正版がリリースされたわけだが、
もし若い映画ファンが見るに耐えないグロ映像なのではないか？などと心配して手に取るのをためらっているとしたら、そんな心配は無用であると断言したい。
安心して購入するといい。
ＤＶＤ画質でやや生々しさはアップしているような気もするが、アマゾンでこの映画の購入を検討するような人間ならば何の問題も無く通して見ることができるだろう。
ショッキングなどというよりは徐々に意識のリミッターをゆるめて、解放されていく感覚に近い。
友人知人が部屋に来たときも、とっておきのキラーコンテンツとして機能すること間違いなし。
是非一家に一枚欲しいところだ。

以前発売されたバージョンも持っていますが、大きめのボカシがたくさん入っているので観にくいことこの上ない残念なソフトでした。日本でもこれまで何度か有志による無修正上映は行われてきたようですし、輸入盤を持っている人も多いかと思いますが、これでようやく本来の形で「ピンク・フラミンゴ」を日本で観られることになります。監督のメンタリの初収録は嬉しいけど、映像自体は旧バージョンと大差ないのはちょっと寂しい気もします。ともあれ、「歌う××の×」のシーンを無修正で見れるというだけで価格分の価値はあるでしょう！

　昨今、「純粋な愛」だの「感動のクライマックス」と宣伝された、薄っぺらな映画ばかりが氾濫する中で、この映画の再発は非常に貴重なものである。

　世間で異常犯罪が横行する原因が、この映画にあると思うか？
　むしろ口先だけの正義を謳っている連中が、現在の異常犯罪者を作り上げているのではないか？

　近日、「ウィッカーマン」も再発されるらしいが、もっともっと封印されてしまった映画のＤＶＤ化を希望したい。

　映画自体、完成度の高いものではないが、これは一つの文化である。
　
　表現の自由は絶対に規制するべきではない！
　支持していく者たちで語り継いでいこう！！！
