十二国記の新作掲載で発売前から書店への問い合わせが殺到したことにより、
通常部数よりも1万部以上を上乗せし、初版7万8000部で発売されました。
おそらく少し大きめの書店なら山積みされているかと思います。
また、yomyomは重版しますので、しばらくのあいだは潤沢に配本されるのではないでしょうか。
yomyomホームページからバックナンバーの問い合わせについても掲載されています。

ファンタジー特集号ということで旬のファンタジー作家のインタビュー（上橋菜穂子、フィリップ・プルマン）などもあり、楽しめます。
また、十二国記の新作「丕緒（ひしょ）の鳥」は、作家自身の切々とした創作への想いを感じました。

６年ぶりの十二国記新作という事で迷わず購入しました。
時期は慶王即位の頃、黄昏よりもずっと前、第一作目の二ヶ月後……黎明の冒頭以前というところでしょうか。
巻頭の十二国記を読み終えた後、どうしようもなく前作を読みたくなって全て読み返しました。何年も前の作品だというのに、最新作とのブランクは全く感じさせません。
以前どこかで「あと一作か二作書けばこのシリーズは完結する」との言葉を読み、残念でならなかったのですが、この物語の終焉までずっと見守って行きたい大切なシリーズです。

十二国記のファンの方なら買って損はないはず。
本として収録されるにはまだ何年も先になると思うので、手に入るうちに手元に置いておきましょう。
十二国記だけではなく、活字好きには十分に楽しめる一冊でした。

和製ファンタジーの最高峰（と言い切ります）小野不由美さんの「十二国記」の６年半ぶりの新作、
畠中恵さんの「しゃばけ」の新作、
公開されたばかりの映画「黄金の羅針盤」の原作者フィリップ・プルマン氏のインタビュー、
アニメ化され話題になった「守り人」シリーズの原作者上橋菜穂子さんのインタビュー
．．．などなど、これらどれか１つでも好きな方は、絶対に「買い」でしょう！！
ファンタジーファンにとってはたまらない、本当に充実した内容です。

私も待ち望んでいた「十二国記」の新作『丕緒の鳥』が読めて本当に嬉しかったです。
ブランクを感じさせない、まさに「十二国記」の世界に感動しました。
