コーエーの三国志が好きでしたが、中盤以降の中弛みや内政や外交の戦略性の無さにうんざりして
代わりになるゲームを探していたところ、シヴィライゼーションに出会いました。

---信長の野望や三国志よりも良い点---
「マップに端が無い」
常に敵に襲われる危険性があるので都市防衛に手が抜けなく、常に緊張感がある。
「内政が充実」
土地・ユニット・技術開発など、都市ごとにする事がゲーム終了時まで尽きない。
「外交が充実」
ここが他のゲームと一線を画するところ。
軍事的勝利だけではなく科学的勝利、内政的勝利、外交的勝利‥と勝ち方が1つではないので
ゲーム終了まで他の国と上手に共存していくという、国盗りゲームには無い要素がある。
「リアルな概念」
医療、文化、宗教、哲学、農業、戦争、メディアなど世の中のあらゆる概念が入っていて
文明を通して広い視野で世界を感じ取れる。

楽しさと集中力がゲーム終了時まで続くのがこのゲームの特筆点です。
シヴィライゼーションシリーズは他の追随を許さない戦略ゲームだと思います。
どのナンバーも熱中度は同じだけありますが、4にはMODというのが導入してあり
システム変更やファンタジーの世界で本格プレイできたりもします。
この特別限定パッケージがあれば一生遊べるでしょう。
