持ち歩ける8色の色鉛筆として使っています。
カラーペンより柔らかい色味で、手帳のメモ書きで重要なところにラインを引いたり、仕事で原稿を書くのに、資料にマークしたり、趣味のハンドメイドのアイデアをノートに描いて色をつけたいときなど、使い道はたくさんです。
元々製図用らしく、コピーでは複写されない色があるので、原紙にメモ書きしてコピーをとるのにも使えます(私は使ってませんが...)
芯の出しかたが、シャープペンシルのようにかちかちするのではなく、一回ノックするとすっと出てくるので、ペン先を押さえて自分で芯の出具合を調整する必要があるので、小さいお子さんなどには向きません。

　Multi8を最初に手にしたのはもう30年くらい前のことだったと思う。昨日、もう1本、久しぶりに買ってみたのだが、実に当時と全く変わらぬ包装で、進化していない。進化の必要がないからだ（鉛筆芯だけを芯の柔らかさでわけたもの、蛍光色が入ったものという新シリーズは出ているみたいだが）。それくらい長く愛され続けている逸品の一つなのだ。

　使い方にちょっとしたデリカシィを持つ必要があるが、ちゃんとわかって使えばいつまでも使える。胴体の真ん中のプラスティックにヒビが入ることもあるが、これも長いこと使っている場合で、私は最初の１本はテープを巻いて使った。

　何かをチェックしたり、アンダーラインをひいたりするのに主に使うものなのだが、私は、出先などでこれ一本で絵を描いてしまう。絵を描くには色数が少なすぎるのは承知の上で、結構いろんな絵を描いている。肌身離せない大切な１本である。

手帳と一緒に持ち歩き、何かと色を塗っては楽しんでいます。

自分の書いたイラストに彩色するのはもちろん、
仕事の内容ごとの色分けにも便利です。

8色の色鉛筆を持ち歩くにはペンケースが必要ですが、
こちらのマルチ8は、ペン一本だけ。

レフィルも付いてこのお値段はお得だと思います。
