1917年。この生まれた年を見て「難しそう」ともし思ってしまったとしたら、それは間違いです。ベネズエラ生まれのラウロの作品はとても情熱的で親しみやすいものばかり。彼の作品は、かのアンドレア・セゴビアも好んで取り上げたのですが、1950年代当時は「アルゼンチンの作曲家」として紹介されていたそうですが、以降知名度もあがり演奏会などで取り上げられることも多くなり、現在ではギターのレパートリーの重要な一角を占めています。日曜日の昼さがりにまったりと聴きたい音楽です。
