TVCMや映画の主題歌を聴いてYUIに興味を持った方には最適な一枚になっていると思います。曲調もバラエティに富んでいて、耳に心地よいきれいな音作りもなされていますので。

ただ、「TOKYO」のようにYUIの歌にソウルみたいなものを求める人には物足りない作品だと感じました。
ビートを抑えて、ストリングスを多用した打ち込み主体のサウンドは、せっかくの彼女の曲に後付けで「ちまちま」と音を足していき過ぎた印象を受けます。
ニュアンスだけで言うと、1st『FROM ME TO YOU』がシェリル・クロウ、2nd『CAN'T BUY MY LOVE』がアヴリル、そして本作が相川七瀬という感じでしょうか。

求めるものによってどのアルバムを買うかの選択をした方がよいと思います。

初回盤のほうはDVD付なので５つ星だったのですが、
CDのみだとやはり評価は落ちますね･･･。

YUIの曲は後からじんわりくるスローミュージックだということは皆さんおっしゃっていますが、このアルバムでは、一度通して聴く→「あ、わりといいかも」→さらに聴きこむ→「たまに思い出す曲がある」→さらに聴く→「アルバム全体通してあまり聴く気になれない」という流れが私の場合でした。

そして、逆に無性に聴きたくなったのが1stと2ndアルバム。
YUIの声質に今作のロック調はやはり無理を感じます。
たとえ打ち込みがほとんどで軽いロックであっても、それも中途半端な印象を受けます。

これまでのバラードや、シングル曲のアコースティックバージョンなどを聴いていてもよく分かるように、YUIは表現力があるアーティストです。
それだけに、ロック調が自らの表現力や良さを殺してしまっているのが勿体無く思います。
今回の詞は全体的にあまり季節や風景を感じさせることも少なかったです。

しかし、このアルバムでYUIが訴えている世の中に対する「前向きに生きよう」という気持ちは今のYUIだから書けるものだと思います。
それはとても伝わってきました。

Love is allやMy friendのような、アルバム曲ながら逸脱した素敵な曲もあるので、今後のYUIの活動に期待しているし、ファンをやめることはないと思います。
My friendはアルバムタイトルにもつながる曲ですし、初めてYUIを聴く人にも是非聴いてほしいです。

自分としては1stアルバムの方が好きですがこのアルバムも素晴らしいですね
タイアップ曲も多いですがMy FriendやAm I wrong?など新たな名曲も発見できました

特にAm I wrong?はさすがYUI!!と思える表現力が再確認できました


やはり音楽はいかに気持ちが伝わるかですから
きちんとAm I wrong?のような曲で終わらせていて仕上がりの良いアルバムだと思います
