先行配信曲「Laugh away」を含む新曲１０曲という、聴き応えのある内容になっていると思います。
両A面扱いの「Understand」さえも収録せず、できるだけ新曲を収録しようとする姿勢には好感が持てます。

内容としては、「FROM ME TO YOU」ほど衝動的ではないし、「CAN'T BUY MY LOVE」ほどメロディアスでもないが、込められたメッセージがより明確になり、かつ強いエモーションを感じさせる曲が多くなっていると思う。歌詞が幼い、陳腐だと一蹴するのか、若い感性、純粋な想いに触れて何かを感じるのかは人それぞれでしょう。個人的には歌詞にも魅力を感じています。特に「Am I wrong?」は良いと思いました。自分自身と真摯に向き合い、覚悟をもって書いた歌詞だと思います。

ボーカルも曲ごとに全く違う色を見せていて、確かに歌唱力はないが溢れ出る意志、想いがダイレクトに心を揺さぶる、そんなボーカルだと思います。もっとも表面的な歌唱力などボーカリストとしての魅力とは関係ないと思いますが…。
全体的に勢いのある曲が多く、ロック色の強いアルバムだと感じました。欲を言えば、「Namidairo」のようなスローテンポなバラードがもう１曲くらいあればバランスが良かったかなと思います。

個人的な感想としては大体、良いと思ったのですが「We will go」だけは全く好きになれませんでした。YUIにしてはちょっと安易過ぎる応援歌になってしまったなと感じざるを得ません。
それでも過去２作品と比べても遜色なく安定して良い作品を作ることができるYUIの能力の高さを改めて実感しています。
1stの頃と比べて音楽性が変化したことも、悪いことだとは思わないし、それほどクオリティーが落ちたとも思っていません。むしろ「FROM ME TO YOU」のようなアルバムを3枚続けて出されたら、何の成長もないと感じてしまいそうです。ロックだとかポップスだとか、そんなカテゴライズもどうでもいい。まだ若いし今は試行錯誤の時期なんじゃないでしょうか。

個人的に『My friend』『Am I wrong?』『Love is all』の3曲が特に好きです。『My friend』は是非YUIにアコギ1本であぐらをかいて歌ってほしいミディアムナンバー。『Am I wrong?』はサビのメロディーがクセになります。YUIらしい曲だと思います。そして『Love is all』は曲自体もかなり良いと思ったのですが,何より歌詞が強烈です。YUI自身,某雑誌のインタビューで『感情が爆発』したと語っている,評論家批判ソングです。
その他,『My Generation』を彷彿とさせるサビの『Find me』や朝番組のタイアップが付いたキャッチーな『OH YEAH』など盛りだくさんの内容です。
ただ,一つ個人的に… COZZiさん作曲の3曲があまり好きになれないかな…
駄目とかそういうのじゃなくて個人的に好きになれないってことです。
それでもYUI作曲の新曲が予想以上に良かったので★5つです。
