　アトラス制作の人気RPGのペルソナ３fesで登場した意思を持つ戦闘マシーン、メティスです。
　ゲーム中ではアイギスというキャラの妹分として登場しており、アイギスとのデザインの違いを比較してみるのも面白いと思います。アルター製のアイギスも出来が良く、まるで西洋アンティークのようですが、このメティスには日本人形のような怪しい魅力があります。漆のような光沢をもつ、まさに漆黒のボディで、質感としてもなかなかの高級感があります。塗装も全体を通して丁寧な仕上がりの部類に入ると思います。特に、数種類容易された顔の塗装はなかなか細かい仕事をしています。不自然さは感じませんし、目の表現は単純なアニメプリントではなく、立体的なリアル志向の造形となっていて、自分としてはかなり好みな顔となっています。装飾もクリアーパーツや細かい羽を使った凝った造りになっています。
　ただ、自分として一番評価したい部分は、顔も含めたボディの造形です。原型師の石長櫻子氏はかなり個性的な作品を作られる実力派なのですが、植物的な？シャープな少女を題材としてよく手がけています。その作風とメティスという題材がマッチしていて、人間味を感じさせないシャープで均整の取れた造形と、それでいて意思を秘めた表情を持っているという、まあなんとも怪しい魅力を持った作品に仕上がっています。
　手で隠れて顔が見えづらいという欠点もありますので、ちょっと鑑賞には設置位置を工夫する必要があるかもしれませんね。でも、かなり面白い作品だと思います。あ、ちなみに球体関節は飾りで実際に動かすことはできませんので、あしからず。

P3をプレイして気に入ったキャラなので購入したところ、顔が若干大人びてる感じがしました。ゲームではかなり子供っぽいイメージでしたのでそこは私的にマイナスでした

しかし決して顔の造りが粗いとか崩れているわけではなく綺麗に仕上げられてはいます。メティスを知らない人はそれはそれで気に入るのではないかと

その他の出来は完璧でスカート部はなかなか高級感があります

ゲームのイメージにそんなに固執していなければ買ってもよいかと思う

このメティスが登場するゲーム本編を知らない人間からすれば、違和感無く造型美を堪能できる逸品。
機械でありながら艶かしい肢体や、能面か日本人形を思わせる無表情には、深奥を感じさせる奇形美があります。
ゲームと切り離せば、妖しい魅力溢れる良い作品と呼べるでしょう。


ですが、実際のメティスはこのフィギュアの様な雰囲気とはまた違う、人間らしさと妖しさが同居した、可愛らしい少女でした。
このフィギュアは機械としての魅力は表現出来ているものの、一方でメティスの人格やそれを思わせる部分を表現してはいません。
メティスを好きな方には購入するか否かを大いにお悩みになられてから決断する事を強く推奨致します。
