アーティストについて

1920年代のLOUISVILLEで発祥したJUG BAND STYLEを当時の78rpm音源を元にその時代背景にまでこだわった国内唯一の本格的戦前スタイルのジャグバンド。戦前当時LOUISVILLEで活躍しジャグバンド ミュージックシーンに多大な影響を与えた名ジャグ奏者"Earl McDonald"に最も影響を受ける。バンドメンバーは関西を中心に北陸/東海地方より集まり2000年頃結成。2002年にはDixieland Jug Blowersの黄金期1926年の名曲のみを採り上げた1st Album "Carpet Alley-Breakdown"をリリース。2006年にはジャグバンドの歴史的ドキュメンタリーフィルム"Chasin' Gus Gohst"にも出演。そして2008年 6年ぶりとなる2nd Album "THE JUG BAND SPECIAL"をEarl McDonaldに捧げたトリビュートアルバムとしてリリース。現在もマニアックに控えめに活動中。
