大手家電量販店で当商品を発見、売り場の人に聞いてみました。するときっぱり『リージョン2もしくは2を含む表記のＤＶＤしかしか見れません』と言われました。
しかし実質は1も問題なく見れましたし、他のレビューも見ると3も見れる模様。
色々と理由があってメーカー側も『リージョンフリー』とは言えないようですが、ほぼ間違いなく最も安いリージョンフリーツールでしょう。
表記に惑わされず、購入をお勧めします。

私は名古屋在住ですが、このWeeは大手家電量販店のヤマダ電気やカインズホーム等のホームセンターでも店頭販売されています。リモコンの操作性や耐久性（再生専用なので構造がシンプルで壊れにくいためでしょうか(^_^;)）、再生映像とサウンドの質、どれも大変満足しております。このプレーヤーで一番助かる機能というのは、やはり、リージョンフリー機であり、海外からの安価な輸入DVDを再生できることです。また、日本や北米で採用されているNTSCという映像方式のみならず、欧州などの地域で採用されているPAL方式（←NTSCよりも走査線が多くて映像がとても奇麗なんです）に対応していますので非常に重宝しております。コンパクトで場所をとらないことと、コストパフォーマンスという点も考慮に入れますと、非常に優れた商品と言えるのではないでしょうか。

オーディオ愛好家です。（オーディオ用激安ＣＤプレーヤーとしての使用）

このＤＶＤプレーヤーの最大の利点は、
ＤＶＤプレーヤー自体で音量調整ができることです。（意外と少ない）
つまり音声出力を調整できるので、そのままパワーアンプに直結して使えます。

アキュフェースのモノラルパワーアンプ、Ｍ−８０００に直結して使用。（200万）
ＳＰはウィルソン・ベネッシュ。（90万）

今まで100万のトランスポート等で組んでいましたが、会社を休職して手放すことになってしまいました。安物ＣＤプレーヤーでなんとか鳴らしたいと思ったのですが、どれもそこそこ値がはります。そこで思いついたのがＤＶＤプレーヤー。ほとんどがＣＤも再生できる。
とりあえず、自分の持っている数年前に買った激安ＤＶＤプレーヤーが音量調整も可能だったので、試してみると音は出るのですが、「グーーーン」「ドドドドド」「ザーーーーー」といったピックアップの駆動ノイズをそのまま拾ってしまいＳＮが最悪でした。ＴＶ再生では気にならなくても、ピュア用アンプとＳＰはシビアなのでこういう雑音をしっかり拾ってしまうのでしょう。

そこでだめもとでこのweeミニを買ってみました。これがなかなか素晴らしいです。
ピックアップの駆動音を拾いません。普通に最低限のピュア・オーディオとして使えます。
激安ですが、音声に限って言えば、それなりのしっかりとした構成になっていることを確認しました。変わった用途で申し訳ないです（笑）
