<ストーリー>
風雲急を告げる幕末、東北の地。孤児の次郎は、謎の法師・天海と出会って彼の元で修行に励み、一人前の忍者を目指していく。
だが、次郎は本当の母親の元を訪ね、彼女から天海の恐るべき正体を知らされて愕然とする。天海の狙いは、次郎が持つ剣=伝説の海賊キャプテンキッドの財宝の所在地が記されたカムイの剣だったのだ。

僕はこの映画をリアルタイムで観られてる方々より一回り程若輩ですが、なかなか面白かったです。
さすがに全体的には古さを感じますが映像のセンスとキョラクターの魅力で楽しめました。
特に松前三人衆とお雪がいいですね。
二時間を越える大作ですが重厚さはなく、寧ろ軽快なテンポで進んで行きます。
もう少し丁寧にストーリーゆっくり進行させてあれば更に面白かったかも知れませんが、そうすると三時間を軽く越えそうなのでしょうがないのかな…。
あずみとか好きな人にお薦めです。

この映画を見て、忍者に対する印象が全く違うものになりました。
忍者の動きのスピード感、くの一お雪の美しい術、その他、とにかくカッコいいです。
竜童組の音楽の躍動感がこれ以上ないくらい映像と融合しています。

演出の面でも工夫が凝らされていて古さを感じさせません。
例えば最近の映画やアニメではもう当たり前のようになってますが、
何かのインパクトの瞬間によく超スローモーションになったりしますが、
このカムイの剣でも既にやってたりします。

全体的に五感に訴えかけてくる映像で、観客に魅せると言う事を、
常に意識して作られていると言う気がします。

また重厚なストーリーも楽しませてくれます。小説も一気に最後まで読めてしまいました。

本作品、面白いです。アッという間に2時間超が過ぎます。
その昔に劇場で見たような記憶が蘇りましたが、随分前なので、今回、新たな気持ちで見ることが出来ました。

また、日本のアニメは値段が高すぎますが、再販の価格設定は非常に良心的で感謝、感謝です。


些細なこと
スタンダード画面に違和感がある（公開時もそうだったか？）。
途中で、何で言葉が通じるのかな？とか疑問に思ったりもする。
