メロディ的には、なんだか初期の倖田來未かなんかのエイベックス風味。
サウンドは中田先生のマジック・スキルから言えば想定の域。(素晴らしいケドね♪ )

歌詞はいかにもgirls受けする、キラキラした可愛いくガーリーな塩梅。
そしてビジュアル面は、YUKIや野宮真貴など所謂ポップアイコンって言われてきた歴代のお洒落リーダーたちの美味しいとこどり的焼き直し。
。。というか、すべてのファクターに置いてその美味しいとこどり感が怒んなく発揮されていて、ミニマムな様相なのに中身はギッシリ、そんな仕上がり。
それ自体がミュージシャンとしての評価に繋がる訳じゃないんだケド、前に「ただ器用なだけだと思う。」見たいなレビューを目にしたときに思ったのは、
オマージュだかインスパイヤだかは知らないけれども、そういうのってある種そこにもセンスは要る。
要は、ゴッタ煮の境界線を越えちゃうか否か。

このひと何がやりたいの?とか、オリジナリティー無さすぎ!とかって感想が込み上げるもっとゼンゼン手前でなにかを納得させちゃってるのは、
間違いなくmegの器用サからくるモノ。
それだけがすべてなの。

結論から言うとファンは買い。そうでない一見さんはレンタルでよろしいかと。正直目新しさがない。ただ「ＯＫ」といい今作といい、なんとなく口ずさんでしまうキャッチーなメロディは評価できるので、気持ちよく聞き流せるＢＧＭとしてはいいのではないでしょうか。

引き続き中田ヤスタカプロデュースの今作です。
「OK」は蔦谷好位置さんが作曲していたこともありどうしてもYUKIの二番煎じな感じがしていたんですが、
今回は作曲も中田ヤスタカとということで“MEG(produced by 中田ヤスタカ)”としての
音楽性をある程度確立した出来栄えだと思う。
若干PVなどはYUKIを意識しているようにも思うけど。

アイドルであるPerfumeとはまた違うレベルでのポップさを持たせたメロディや、比較的シリアスなサウンドワークは
MEGの不思議な世界観の歌詞とも絶妙なバランスで混ざりあってます。

個人的にはA面の「MAGIC」よりも「MIRACLE」の方が好きです。
レトロな音がなぜかリアルに今を表現してるというか。
下手に抑揚をつけていないところが妙に耳にすんなりと入ってきました。
