又々メタルブレードにて、ミネソタ州発期待値特大の新人現る。
メタルブレードレコードと言えば、メタコアを思い浮かべるがコイツラは違う。どんなかというと、分かり易く言えば、アメリカ人(マサチューセッツ州の)が様式美が強い北欧のメロデスをプレイしましたって感じ。てか皮肉にも本場よりメロデスしてるよ。
彼らの特徴であろう、キーボードワークが素晴らしい。スティル リメインズより遥かにキラキラしてます。ムーグ系ではなく、ストリングス系で、普段影に隠れているが、サビになると出て来ては曲を彩り(ファンタジーにかつクサくしてる)盛り上げる。
もう一つの特徴がギター。インフレイムス直系クサクサ型で、それはそれは、キーボードと共にクサクサ・サウンドを構築している。曲の終盤になればなる程、この傾向が強くなっていく。ホントたまらない。僕はやりたいほうだい(最高)だと思った。
総評は臭い(とても素晴らしい)。こんな臭いアメリカ人初めてです。

アメリカのメロデスバンド、エピキュリアンのアルバム。2008作
アメリカのメタルコアシーンの中でも、ここ最近では北欧メロデスの色をより濃く受け継いだような
バンドも出てきているが、このバンドも初期のCHILDREN OF BODOMばりのサウンドを聴かせる。
全体を包み込む美しいシンセワークに、重すぎないメロディアスなギターフレーズとともに疾走、
ヴォーカルはスクリームとノーマル声を使い分けていて、いかにもモダンな感じだが、
全体的な叙情性はアメリカのバンドにしてはなかなかのもの。北欧メロデスとモダンコアの完全合体。

こういう清涼感のあるサウンド大好きだ
聴いてて気持ち良い。

キラキラキーボードが泣きのメロディを奏でまくり、Voも良い声質。

かといってメロディ重視ってワケじゃなくテクニカル且つヘビー

Drはブラストもカマしてるし
バスドラの使い方も上手いです

とにかく良いバンドですよ!
