繊細で美しいピアノのメロディがいつもの郁子ちゃんの浮遊感ある声に乗せられていますが、どの曲にも孤独で閉ざされた詩世界が静かに広がっていて、とても切なく、いたたまれない感じ。
限定版のアートワークは郁子ちゃん自身が手がけているのですが、これを見ながら聴くと、そういった感じがさらに強まります。
目を閉じて、一人静かに、美しい孤独の海に深く沈んでいく、そんな感じです。

原田郁子ちゃんのソロアルバム「気配と余韻」が届く。
いきなり聴いてしまうともったいないから、テーブルにおいて、特典のＣＤブックをめくってみる。
コラージュやイラスト、自由なアートワークがすてき。
日々行ったり来たりしながら、胸の中にすむアーティストの女の子を、大切に守りつづけている人の作品だ。
気がすむまで眺めたところで、プレーヤーにのせる。

静かなピアノと、つぶやくような郁子ちゃんの声。
クラムボンの音楽が、世界を外に向かって押し広げてゆくイメージなら、ソロアルバムは内側へ内側へ、深く掘り下げてゆく感じ。

５曲め「Drifter」はキリンジのカバー。
漂流者、流れ者という意味のタイトル。

　たとえ鬱が夜更けに目覚めて
　獣のように襲いかかろうとも

というところ、胸に差し込んでくる。切なくて息が止まりそう。
郁子ちゃんは声を張り上げて歌っているわけじゃないのに、ぐっと体の芯に入ってくる歌い方なのだ。

一日一回と決めて大切に聴くつもりだったのに、あんまりいいアルバムなので何度も、何度も繰り返し聴いてしまった。

宝物が、またひとつ増えた。
