DOPING PANDA約２年ぶりとなるニュー・アルバム。
そもそも去年はこのアルバムのためにライブの本数を抑え、製作に没頭しただけのことはあり
渾身の一作に仕上がっている。

まずサウンドに関してはいつもよりもクッキリしたというか、整理された感じの音になっている。
ギターに関してもノイジーなエッセンスを押さえ、その分打ち込みの分量が増えて
全体的にいつもよりもダンス・ミュージック調のビートで構成されている。
このアルバムの前に出した「High Brid」というミニアルバムをそのまま押し広げた感じ。
「I'll be there」がその核になっていると個人的には思う。一番ポップだと思うし。
　
また構成に関しても面白く、前述のI'll 〜のサビのメロディをそのまま使って別の曲に仕上げた
「call my name」あり、またnothin'という曲は今まで聴いたことのないような進行の曲に
なっていて、常に新しいものを！という彼らの情熱を感じることの出来る一枚になっている。

また歌詞も面白く、今まで以上に日本語詞が増えてるのもそうだし「nothin'」では
批評性のある見事な詞を描いている。歌詞カードをみればちょっとハッとするような。
また英語の発音についても指導を受けている様で、小気味いい歌い回しを堪能できる。

個人的には以前のような荒々しい感じも好きだったのだがそれはそれとして、
このような作風でもきっちりドーパンらしさを出してるのがいいところ。
ただもう少しノイジーな感じが残ってると、もっと良かったかも。
そこらへんは次作以降に期待しよう。

ロックスターはやっぱりビックマウスなだけあって、ロックスター。あっちもこっちもダンスミュージックな時代だけど、ドーパン、かっこいい、やっぱり。

自分のオススメと主要なナンバー

2. nothin’ 今回のエースナンバー、PVもあります。
4. call my name I’ll be thereの別バージョン、また違った雰囲気の楽曲
6. thunder 切ない哀愁漂うナンバー、今回のアルバムでは一番好きかも
10. Crazy シングルで発売された楽曲、やはりテンション高めの曲ですね。

個人的にはCan't Stop Meも収録して欲しかったけど
ボリューム的には満足だったので星４
