高田みち子待望のニューアルバム。
これは私の期待を軽々と上回る傑作だ。
高田みち子はインディーズでのデビューアルバム『MICHIKO　SONGS』、メジャーデビューアルバム『NIGHT　BUZZ』で知性とセクシーさが絶妙にミックスされた天性のその歌声とソングライティングの才能を見せつけてくれた大器であったが、次の『TALEA　DREAMS』ではレーベル・カラーであるスローでジャジーな曲が多すぎ、歌唱力には成長の跡がみられるものの、前作での決定的名曲『Chocolate』、『雨は優しく』といったキラーチューンもなく、こじんまりとまとめられた作品との印象を持った。
勿論作品のレベルとしては高いものがあるのだが、彼女に期待するが故の印象であった。
『TOKYO　GIRLS　TALK』に収められた９曲のオリジナル曲には、それぞれ都会で生きる女性の日常を切り取った、等身大の女性の心模様が描かれている。
その詩作には前作から２年半の成長が見られる。
少しだけ大人っぽくなったかな。

１『TOKYO GIRLS　TALK』では若いツバメに恋をしたり、２『DOESEN'T　MEAN　MUCH』では自ら恋に終わりを告げ、孤独でもひとりじゃないからと歌う。
７『私の１０年』では過ぎてきた１０年で無くして来たものを思いながら、未来への希望も感じさせてくれる。
大好きな彼女の声が少し艶っぽく感じられるのも、２年半の間に起こった出来事の全てが焼き付けられたからだろう。
２『DOESEN'T　MEAN　MUCH』は恐らく彼女の代表作のひとつになるであろうキラー・チューン。嬉しくて思わず涙がにじんでしまった。
９『水泳クラブ』は彼女自身のピアノのみで歌われる名曲。シンプルな演奏だからより彼女の歌唱力と詩作の素晴らしさが際立ってくる。
他の曲も勿論素晴らしく、代表作になるのは間違いないだろう。

サウンド面では３作目になる日本屈指の凄腕おじさま集団『What　Is　Hip？』とのコラボレーションが見事である。
特に、鬼才『松木恒秀』のカッティングと野力奏一のフェンダー・ローズの音色が素晴らしい。
この若き才能を型にはめず多彩な魅力を生き生きと表現させたプロデューサー相茶氏の手腕にも心から敬意を表したい。

今は、このアルバムに心ゆくまで浸りたい。
