いまやアメリカの名門スクリーモ系レーベルとなったIndianola Recordsイチオシ、かつ最もキャッチーなエモーショナル・ロックバンドのニューカマー、We Are Action! 2005年、アメリカ/フロリダで活動していたバンドがツアー中に突然数人のメンバーが脱退、残ったメンバーはそのままいくつかのツアーを続けたのち、2006年に結成したのがWe Are Action(脱退したメンバーは、Mayday Paradeを結成)。その後、AtarisやWaking Ashlandのオープニング・アクトを勤め、着実にその人気を伸ばしていく。そして2007年、名門スクリーモ系レーベルIndianola Recordsと契約を交わし、『ロックンロール・イズ・ア・コンタクト・スポーツ』で2008年2月、待望の日本デビュー!

ラジオで１曲目の'chicago fire'を聞いて一目（一聴き？）惚れして買いました！
輸入版のジャケット見て若干引いてしまい、国内盤の方を買ったのですが、曲のかっこいい感じと裏ジャケのおバカな感じのギャップがいいですね。
もともとはMeyday Paradeと同じバンドだったみたいですが、断然こっちの方が好きです。
アルバム通して、ちゃんとエモだけどすっごく聴き易い。the redjumpsuit apparatusとか好きなら買って損はないと思います。
