ボクサーとシスター…というアンバランスな組み合わせのドラマのED曲です。

ジャニーズ系に関してはあまり…というファンに失礼極まりない野郎な私ですが

この曲…「激しいロック」の中に「愛しさ」や「切ない気持ち」をフレーズに含む心に響くカッコ良い一曲となっております
(カップリング曲も中々良いですよ?)

ふと耳にすると伝わった…そんなキッカケだったりしますが、一度聴いてみては如何でしょうか?

嵐の「時代」といい…キンキの数々の曲といい…カッコ良さや心に強く響く歌って、ジャニーズ系のでも何度でも聴きたくて買ってしまうんですよね…私。

いい歌いっぷりだな〜というのが第一印象だった。この曲のもつ「疾走感」とKAT-TUNの相性は抜群だ。この歌が「なんちゃってロック風」にならずに自分達のモノにしているし、口先だけで歌う様なカラオケになってない。この曲を歌うには多少インパクトが弱い声もあったが、それを補うに余りあるボーカリストが居ることで、曲のモチベーションを下げずにロックとして完成させている。聴く側に「言う事を聞かせる」妙な説得力がある。アイドルの枠を超えて、歌で生き残っていけるグループかもしれない。２曲目の「LOVE」は個人的に「LIPS」よりも好きな曲だった。アレンジも素晴らしく、CD店内で流れていたら誰もKAT-TUNの曲とは思わないかもしれないアプローチの曲で、インパクトもありゴージャスな曲だった。赤西君のハイトーンボイスは必聴だ。「LIPS」が「疾走する恋」なら「LOVE」は「ためらいの愛」といった印象が残った。

KAT-TUNのクールなセクシーさを疾走するロックに乗せた挑発的な名盤。

KAT-TUNのグループとしての音楽性の高さには定評があるが、
今回はベースに元MR.BIGのビリー・シーン、ドラムにTOTOのサイモン・フィリップスを迎え、
その完成度はさらに磨かれている。

冒頭、アコースティックなギターをたどる亀梨ソロと続くkiss音は哀愁を湛え、楽曲の色調を一気にシルバーに塗る迫真の好演で、
続く赤西による最初のソロはフレーズ感がありつつ勢いを失わないさすがの演奏。
他のメンバーの個性的な歌唱も、楽曲の色彩を豊かにしている。

表現しようとする世界観に妥協も限界もないことを見せつける、KAT-TUNの挑発的な名曲。


カップリング「LOVE」は一転して、沈みこむ重いリズムが曲を支配する。

細部まで丁寧なR&B的な演奏は非の打ち所がなく、
繊細かつアダルトな表現で魅了されるが、
何より間奏部分、赤西の立体的で切実な情感の込められたhummingは驚嘆。
