絶望先生ED曲「マリオネット」。音は歪んでてボーカルはウネッてる。でもメロディーは切なポップで掛け合いはかわいい。こういうアバンギャルドなのにポップなのツボだ。個人的には「空想ルンバ」よりキュンとくる。
絶望先生の歌はどれもアニメに寄り添ったかたちで作られてるけど(いわゆる宣伝タイアップでなくて)、曲単体で聴いても全然オススメできる。そりゃ作品趣旨やコンセプトを理解したほうがハマれるけれど、大槻ケンヂときてROLLYという人選はもう確信犯的。いわゆるアングラ「っぽい」とかアイドルによくある「〜調に挑戦しました」みたいな軽いものではなく、ノリを大事にしつつも本物の曲をちゃんと作ろうとしている。だから音楽だけ聴いてもアニメファンとしても、理想の主題歌になっているはずだろう。
アニメという付加価値を省いてフラットな目線に立っても、いい歌だと思います。

ちなみにカップリングも決して悪くはないが、ちょっと「絶世美人」と重なるので2番手に甘んじている印象。

ちなみに、この曲が、元イメージとしている楽曲とは、モット・ザ・フープルの「ロックンロール黄金時代」に収録されている「マリオネット」という曲です。モットとは、ローリーも渋いところから拾ってきますね。

俗・さよなら絶望先生の新EDタイトルです。
デガダンな感じのローリーさんの歌は、書生姿の主人公が出てくるアニメにはマッチしていると思うんですけど、絶望先生にしてはものすごく「普通のアニメっぽい」絵にかぶせるとなると詩も含めていろいろと深読みされちゃいそうですね。いや、観た方がいろいろと勝手に深読みしてうんちくたれてほしい作りなんですね。

何にせよポップンロールな良い曲です。
