松崎ナオの作品は『虹盤』も良かったし『Flor Trem』もいい作品だと思った。でも個人的に
モウレツにハマり始めたのは前作の『flower source』から。半年くらいは毎日聴いた。
この辺りの感じ方は人によって温度差があり意見の分かれるところだと思いますが、初期
の頃の独白に比べて外に向けてコトバを放ち出した『虹盤』以降の彼女は明らかに一皮も
二皮も剥けたような気がするのです。
そんな彼女の１年半ぶりのアルバムは松崎ナオのソロというより、小宮山聖(g)、湯浅崇(b)、
奥村純(dr.)、松崎ナオ(vo. pf g) による松崎バンドとしてこそ成り立つべき作品と捉えるのが
相応しいように思えます。それは最初の M1「空の部屋」からガツンと感じられ、彼女の抑えた
ヴォーカルの意を酌んでメンバー全員がコンミス（＝松崎）と同じ方向を向いているのが伝わっ
てくるような、ライヴで繰り返し聴いて "こういう曲だ" というのはわかっていながら、改めて
ハートをガッと掴まれるようなファーストヒット。いきなり右ストレート級。
個人的にアツくなるのは M5「未熟ないちご」。明らかにいつもとは違う意図して乾いた音を
叩く奥村くんのドラムがヴォーカルの強烈な疾走感に拍車をかける。
また今作客演に迎えたドブロクの田中寛司さんや URiTA さんら朋友達も大健闘。特に (これも
親交の篤い) The 606 の名曲で松崎ナオと URiTA がヴォーカルを分け合う「曼珠沙華の華」は
松崎版「唄ひ手冥利」的作品。 URiTA のヴォーカルが胸が締め付けられるような素晴らしさ。

一見 "我が道を往く" と見えるパフォーマンス、実は表現する上で体裁を取り繕うことによる
ロスが極めて少ないアーティストだと思う。
松崎ナオという表現者を知ることができたことをとても嬉しいと思っている自分がいます。

ここにあるメロディー、歌詞、リズム、歌声全てで、人の本当の弱さ、強さ、優しさ、大切なものを教えてくれます。
何度も聴いては自分や周りの人を見つめ直すことができます。
このアルバムに出会えてよかった。
