前作"Pretty In Black"ではその爆裂ノイズを封印し、モロ60sガールズポップな甘いメロでめくるめくポップネスを展開していたが、今作ではやはりと言うべきか、そのノイジーさが復活。従前にないダークさで戯れるオープニングトラック"Aly, Walk With Me"は、やがて100人による絶叫のようなファズ/ノイズの渦巻きへと抱き込まれていく。リズムボックスの無表情な打塊と、阿鼻叫喚ノイズのコントラストが凄まじくクール。

溶けてしまいそうに甘く甘くセンチなメロと、完璧に制御されたノタウチ・ノイズのデコレーション。デビューE.Pに近い音作りながら、始終に渡って享楽とは真逆のダークネス/死にたくなるような物憂さを感じるのは、こちらの意識の錯覚か？迸る部分では一気に駆け抜け、落とす部分ではメロウに濡らす展開に、何とも言えぬ刹那的な感傷を覚えます。トータル・コンセプトって面では従来より弱い気がするが、音のクオリティはこれまで同様非常に高く、全くもってハズレ無し。こんなのを爆音で鳴らされた日にゃあ、もうどうしようもありませんな。めっちゃ気持ち良い。最高！

デンマーク出身の男女デュオ4thAL。S･Y、J&MC、ヴェルヴェッツの影響のもと、@B♭m(ビーフラットマイナー)をキーにしA3コードでBシンバル無し(→Run Onの名作「No Way」を思い出すなぁ…)でC3分以内の曲を創る、という自縛ルールのもと結成した轟音ダーク･ガレージ･ロックの野心的俊英。強烈なリヴァーブと甘美な旋律がガレージィな歪みとダークネスに取って代わった前作(05年)で上記ルールは破棄されているが、今作ではその上に歪みが舞い戻り、“ジザメリよりもジザメリ的な”音像となった。

「LUST LUST LUST」は前作までのサウンドの要素やスタイルを踏襲しつつ、期待を裏切らない進化を聴かせる3rdフルアルバム。
彼らの｛sweet＋dark＋cool＋noisy＋dreamy＋?｝深大でネオレトロなガレージ風味ビタースイートRock'n'Rollを夜にでも如何？
一流のセンスとカッコよさを体現している作品だと思う。
