輸入盤より1000円近く高いですが、これだけでも国内盤を買う価値は大いにあります。
Otis ReddingからCassandra Wilsonまで、相変わらずのセンスの良さですが、役者としても出演しているCat Powerの「THE GRATEST」がとにかく素晴らしい。
「夢二のテーマ」の再登場はウォン・カーウァイファンにはたまりません。

主人公（ノラ・ジョーンズ）が自分を見つめ直すべくＮＹからメンフィス、ラスヴェガスに移動し、移動先での仕事・人との出会いを通じて経験を積み、失恋の痛手をふっきり、ＮＹに戻る映画。アメリカの雄大さ・地域色を感じさせるロード・ムーヴィー的な面がある（一部ですが）本作のような映画で、監督がライ・クーダーを音楽担当に起用したのは正解でしたね。ライ・クーダーと監督が選曲したどの曲も素晴らしい。久しぶりに買いたいと思ったサントラ盤です。１曲目は監督がノラ・ジョーンズに頼んで提供してもらった新曲。女優業初挑戦の彼女の不安感を反映した曲です。その新曲が聴けるだけでも彼女のファンにはたまらないでしょう。その他上の曲目リストからわかるように、ライ・クーダー３曲、キャット・パワー２曲、オーティス・レディング１曲、グスタヴォ・サンタオラージャ１曲、続木力１曲（「夢二のテーマ」（ハーモニカ・ヴァージョン））など、さすがと感心する曲ばかり。私は特にカサンドラ・ウィルソンによるニール・ヤングの名曲「ハーヴェスト・ムーン」のカバーが映画で流れてきたときに鳥肌がたちました。ＤＶＤが今から待ち遠しいですが、挿入曲をフルに聴けるこのサントラも聞き逃せない作品です。トト５５さんがレビューで述べているように、監督のライナーノーツはじっくり読む価値ありです。
