【ストーリー】

【ストーリー】
ルールを破る仕事―その時、男のプライドを賭けた闘いが幕を開ける!
舞台はアメリカ・マイアミ。“運び屋”から引退を決意したフランクの今度の依頼品は、たった6歳の少年ジャック。“運転手”という仕事で上流階級の一人息子の送り迎えを引き受ける。そんな矢先、突如女殺し屋が現われ、ジャックが誘拐される。引きさかれる間際に、フランクが少年と交わした固い約束「必ず君を守る。守れない約束はしない」。そして決死の覚悟で敵のアジトヘ乗り込んだフランクは、ジャックを救出することに成功するが、敵の本当の狙いは身代金などではなかった!【24時間以内に死に至る殺人ウィルスの存在】【大統領暗殺計画】、次々と浮かび上がる驚愕の事実。そして、ジャックは、そのウィルスを注射されていた。「僕を守るって約束したよ!」と泣き叫ぶジャック。誘拐犯の真の目的とは!?そしてフランクは少年の命を救うことができるのか?

映画は『1』が2002年10月11日リリース、『2』が2005年8月3日リリース。当初『2』の計画はなかったが、前作のDVDが大ヒットしたことで急遽『2』作成となった作品。リュック・ベッソン製作・脚本作としては初の全米ナンバー1を獲得している。

ジェイソン・ステイサムは、水泳の飛込競技の元選手で、イギリス代表チームに所属し、オリンピックにも出場していたらしい。対する『ルイ』を演じるスー・チーは元々はセクシーアイドルだが、言葉の障害をものともしない個性豊かな表現力で素晴らしい演技を見せる。つまり、リュック・ベッソンという稀代の料理人が本当に力のある素材を選び抜いて、自らのカー・チームのスパイスを利かせて作った作品、と言える。

つまりここにないのは有名だが実力のない俳優とハリウッドだ。そしてこのリュック・ベッソンの持つ『サムシング』こそ、映画好きを惹き付けて放さないモノだと気がつく。結論。ハリウッドはこの映画をよくよく研究し、ブランド名ばかりで実のない映画を作り続けていないか、を自問すべきだ。

1.契約厳守・・・・・看板だけの映画など観たくない
2.名前は聞かない・・・・ギャラだけ高いダイコンはいらぬ
3.依頼品を開けない・・・・つまらないようなら開けないさ

特に『2』では、Audi A8 6.0クワトロ(Ｗ型12気筒エンジン!!)を使用。相変わらずの脅威のカー・テクニックだが本作では特に中間で出てくる車の下の時限爆弾の外し方が驚異的だ。CGでなくあのシーンを撮れるのはリュック・ベッソン・『チーム』しかしないだろう。ジェイソン・ステイサムは相変わらずの格好良さだが、本作では殺し屋ローラを演じたケイト・ノタが光っている。彼女は、ヴェルサーチやDKNYのキャンペーンで活躍していたモデルだが、長身＆スレンダーなスタイルと、独特の存在感が作品に華を添えている。

最後の方の解毒剤のくだりは空気感染するウィルスには無理がありすぎだが・・・・そのあたりがリュック・ベッソンだな、と思う。許せる。で、買うならやはりこのブルー・レイ・ツイン・パックですね。

ボックス仕様という事で１と２が入っています。
特典映像も満載でＤＶＤでも割と綺麗だった画質、良かった音質もブルーレイで一気にスーパー仕様になります。値段も個別に買うより安いです。（単品は発売予定なし）
あのドライビングシーンの音や絵を想像するとブルーレイなら最高になるでしょう。
