これは楽しい！！
民族音楽の要素も導入した、カラフルでウキウキなトラックに、頼りないけど優し
げなボーカルが乗って、というこの感じ！

トーキング・ヘッズ？のような尖った感じは全然なくて、同じ80年代・ＮＹなら、
ポール・サイモン "Graceland" あたりの方が近いのでは？

確かに、直球にポップで、踊れて、かつＮＹ的なスマートさも感じさせる音楽って
いうのは、ありそうでなかったような。
とにかく、全１１曲・捨て曲なしの楽しさです！

ストロークスのギター・リフにアフリカン・ビートを融合したインディー・ポップ、という踊り文句に釣られてホイホイ買ったけれど、言う程アフリカン・ビートな感じはしないですね。良くも悪くも白人的なインディーポップです。

雑誌に煽られて消費し尽くされるのか、それともうまくかわして息の長いバンドになるのか。好調が続くUSインディー・シーンにいよいよ出てきた胡散臭げなバンドなので、色んな意味で目が離せません！

トライバルなアフリカン・ビートと細かなギターリフ。そこに時折加わるシンセとストリングス。
しかも全編にわたってPOPさ満点です。
巷で引き合いに出されているTalking Headsはもちろん、去年だとDarty Projectorsあたりにハマッた人には是非。
さすが最近のNYはおもしろいもの出してきますね！
