まず、商品説明には天井に映せるとありますが、
真上に本体を向けると、波の動きがカクカクします。
斜めとかにすると動きは安定するのですが、
この角度だと光模様に遠近がついてしまって波っぽくないのがちょっと…。

他の同製品と比べた訳ではないので設計ミスとは言えないかもしれませんが、
動作に個体差があるかもという覚悟でご購入を。
波が突然「カクッ」とスライドするのは、正直ちょっと冷めます。

波模様は思ったよりランダム感が出ていて良かったです。
ゆらゆらと光の筋が揺れる様は癒しグッズとして充分ではないでしょうか。
色も鮮やかで綺麗です。

あとは、光量の調節機能があれば良かったのですが。
少し光がきついと感じる人もいるかなと思いました。

ACアダプターはやっぱり便利だと思います。
コードの長さが1m30cmぐらいなので、部屋のコンセントの位置と相談して
ベストな配置ができない場合は延長コードのご用意を。

音はかなり静かでした。
神経質な方は時々かすかに聴こえる「カタカタ」音が気になるかもしれませんが
某家庭用プラネタリウムより遥かに静音設計です。

この新モデル「スカイリウム」は、以前のルームパレットや
オーロラパレットより遥かによくなってます。

まず、光量が全く違います。以前のやつは、青い光が弱々しく
もぞもぞしているだけで、僕としてはいまいちでした。しかし、
この新モデルの光量は以前のものよりもかなりアップしてます。
今回はLEDが９個です。私の印象では、光の強さは１０倍以上
と言ってもいいくらいです。

しかもこの光量のアップによって、色が鮮やかになり、
演出力が格段に向上しています。本当に別世界にいるようです。
更に今回のは、青と緑と赤の三色の光によって、様々な演出をしてくれます。

具体的に言えば、「スカイリウム」には次のような４つのモードがあります。
１．青の光だけの「ディープブルーモード」。
水のもつ神秘的な雰囲気で包まれます。以前のルームパレットの青の光よりも
遥かにきれいになってます。

２．青と緑の「リゾートオーシャンモード」。ゆったりとくつろげます。

３．「オーロラモード」。緑→赤→青と、光が交じり合いながら１分ぐらいで
交替していきます。ただ残念ながらあまりオーロラっぽくありません。
緑の光はすごくきれいなので、できれば緑の光だけにしたほしかったかな…

４．赤と青と緑全てが点灯する「ドリームモード」。
異次元の世界に迷い込んだかのようです。幻想的です。

今回はACアダプターがついているので、非常に便利になっています。
是非、癒し系の音楽を聴きながら、幻想的な世界に浸ってください。

最後に、少し注意点を書いておきます。
・寝るときにつけるには、光が強すぎると感じる人もいると思います。
・他の方がおっしゃっているように、波の動きがスムーズにいかないことも
あるようです。僕のは今のところ大丈夫ですが、やはり個体差があると思います。

　私は壁一面がビデオプロジェクター用のスクリーンになっているので、本体を立てて利用していました。とても癒されるすばらしい製品だと思いました。
しかし、１週間ほどは正常でしたが、そのうち、他の方が指摘されているように、波の動きを作るモーターが時々止まるようになり、２週間後には完全に止まってしまいました。２週間の短い命でした。ただ、上に向けると再び動き始めましたが、やはり時々止まるので、本体に刺激をあたえなくてはなりません。どうも、モーターのトルクが弱く、ぎりぎりで動作する設計のようです。この程度の金額の製品で、いちいちクレームをつけるほどではないと思い、今度は、乾電池専用の旧製品を購入し、家にあったACアダプターの線を電池ボックス内部に直接ハンダ付けしました。この製品、LEDとモーター部が別の電圧で作動しているようで、いろいろ部品を加え、電圧をコントロールしてみると滑らかな動きを実現できました。メーカーの設定値より若干高めの電圧が良いようです。
　そこでメーカーさんに注文ですが、ダイヤルをつけて、モーターの電圧を若干可変できるようにしたらいかがでしょう。これなら止まってしまうこともなくなると思います。まぁ、シンプルでぎりぎりの設計だからこのお値段で供給できるのでしょうが、これは癒しグッズです。途中で動作しなくなると、癒しどころか、ストレスを生じます。
　ただ、いろいろいじってでも動作しているときの効果は素晴らしいです。是非改良を望みます。
