日本語ヒップホップというとやたらとリリックの語数が多く単語列挙的リリックがいまだに多い。そんな中、seedaは過剰を削った言葉を道しるべ石のように与えていきリスナーを自らの世界に導く。リリックの力、詩の力とはまさにこういうものではないか。日本語ラップ／ヒップホップには今までこういう（そしてこれほど決定的な）ラッパーがいなかったという点で、成長を幾度も重ねたseedaはネクストレベルの壁を突き破った（破ってきた）と言っていい。本作は前作と比べて回数を重ねても聴けるアルバムであることを期待している。とりあえず一聴した感想は上のとおりだ。これからのseedaにますます期待しながらこの並外れた傑作を聴くことにしよう。

聴けば、聴くほど良く感じるアルバムです。
フューチャーリングを１人だけに抑えて
曲数も少なく抑えて
どの曲でも彼のラップが堪能できる。
トラックのレベルも凄いです。
一見シンプルなんですが、余計な音がまず入ってません。
ラップが般若に、似ている気がしました・・・
あと、リリックが非常に聞きとりやすく
言葉を追って行くだけでも、楽しいです。

5.0 out of 5 stars 花と雨からの流れは街風ではなく確実にこれだと思います。, 2008/2/2
『GREEN』までの彼を聞き、『花と雨』での新フロウに最初「えっ!」と思ったけれど、聞き込んで行くうちに彼の秀でた詩的技巧さ、厳格なリアルさを伝え得る点でこれは完全にネクストレベルだと確信し、BLのトラックに完全にやられ、さらにCCGシリーズで期待を増した。しかし、満を持してリリースされたメジャー進出『街風』には「曲単位でではいいけど、…」と思った方は僕をはじめ多いと思います(リアルなアングラの日本初メジャー進出だったので実験的だったらしいが)。

この『HEAVEN』はそんな『花と雨』来の期待を確実に満足させるものです。
やはり彼の一番の魅力は詩です。その表現的には韻や対句、あと比喩などの詩的修辞がよくてさらに情景を浮かべやすいと思います。内容的には今回も街の話、描写、彼の考えなどリアルさにはブレがありません。
加えてその詞がBLとI-DeAの間違いないトラックに乗るので、僕としては言うことないです。

ただラストトラックでは英語のみでラップしているので、リアルの如何が判断しかねます。まぁ辞書引いて内容を取ろうと思います笑

あと一部分で、今のでも早口でないもう一つのフロウも披露しています。


最後に、HIPHOPを聞きなれていない方にも割と聞きやすい曲が多いのでこれから聞き始めるのにもいいと思います(ただし、内容はかなりとっつきにくいですが)。

追記:ラストの曲はアメリカのラッパーへ向けたものだそうです。エミネムをはじめむこうのラッパーが日本のラップは嫌いと言っているのを受けてのことらしいです。アップルストアライブで言ってました。
