2.0 out of 5 stars まさにフォロワー!!, 2009/6/28
音ネタの選び方、ビートの組み立て方、エフェクトの処理まで非常に高いクオリティで見事としか言いようがありません。聴きごたえはあります。
しかし内容紹介にもあるように作品を聴いている最中、50万枚のレコードの人が頭にちらついて離れませんでした。
個人的には取り立てて驚かされる事も無かったし、パンチに欠けるかなあという印象です。それが狙いなのかもしれませんが…
だったらDJ Shadow聴いていればいいかな〜なんて思ったりもします。
よく比較されるといったらあとはsixtooくらいしか知りませんが、オリジナリティーで言ったら彼の方が断然良いです。

…素人の戯言なのでご容赦を。

DJ Shadowと比較されがちなDday Oneだけど
より抽象的、ﾒﾛｰで重厚、
ﾄﾞｰﾌﾟなﾋﾞｰﾄは癖になります。

深い夜にｳーﾊｰ入れて
静かに響かせ、
ｱﾀﾏを空にして
ﾋﾞｰﾄをゆっくり吸い込む
聴き方好きです。

彼の作品はとても気持ちが良く癖になりますね。Loop Extensionsも良かったですが、今作は全体的に落ち着いている感じで前作より長いので聴いていると酔ってきます。眠くなる感じですかね。音量を小さめにしてBGMとして聴くことをオススメします。
