倉木さんは最初、タイトルを｢LIFE｣と仮につけていたそうです。
でもそれだけでは、誰のどんな｢LIFE｣なのか…幅が広いと思って｢ONE｣をつけたそうです。直訳をすると｢1つの生活｣や｢1つの生存(生命)｣などの意味になりますけど、きっともっと奥が深くてメッセジが込められているのだな、と思いましたね。

まずは…opening｢ONE LIFE｣
初期のR&Bを元に進展していくタイトルナンバーです。歴代のタイトルソングだと…
If I Believe｣>｢ONE LIFE｣>｢Fairy tale 〜my last teenage wish〜｣>｢Delicious Way｣=｢PERFECT CRIME｣>｢Diamond Wave｣
という感じです。決して｢Diamond-｣が悪いわけではないですけど、それほど今回が良かったんです。
曲は｢まねばっかりしてはだめだ。｣→｢ならばもっとﾞオリジナル"で行こう！｣というような前向きな応援ソング。｢まるでno sugar coffe｣という歌詞が印象的ですね。
そしてまたR&B系が強い｢I Like it Like that｣が始まり続いて、倉木さんの歌唱がしっとりと歌い上げるメディアムナンバー,｢one for me｣倉木さん曰く｢片思いだけどいつかその恋を実らせたいとひたむきに一生懸命生きている姿を現した曲｣だそうです！
続いてサンバ調でLIVEで絶対盛り上るような｢Born to be Free｣に続きます。
そして｢白い雪｣と｢Silent Love｣と冬のバラードが続きます。バラード続きで曲順に賛否両論がありますけど、理由は倉木さん曰く、｢少し前に作った『白い雪』から今年(2007年)作った『Silent Love』への成長を感じて頂ければ。｣とのこと。
表現方法が｢白い雪｣から｢Silent Love｣とでは一段と上がっていますよね。歌唱方法にも幅が出てきて胸を掴むような歌唱、心を落ち着かせるような歌唱など！それは次の曲へと続きます。
｢everything｣僕の中ではアルバム新曲中一番好き。何時にもまして歌唱力があり、倉木さんらしいと言えばそれまでですけど、らしさ+新鮮さも存在していて、歌詞では今までにないような表現｢まだ君に浮かぶ舟　見つけ出せるから　オール漕ぎ出す｣といった格好よさもあります♪
そして、原点回帰と思わせた｢Season of love｣へのスムーズな流れ、｢secret roses｣の幻想的なメロディ！歌詞では初めて｢ヤバイ｣という言葉を使用しています！
いよいよ終盤…
｢Wonderland｣へ続きます。この曲も大好きで、文には表すことが出来ないような曲です。
実質上本編ラスト！｢BE WIHT U｣！
倉木麻衣さんのアルバムのラストは(壮大な)バラード、またはメディアムテンポな曲でしたが、今回は違います！
国境を越えて音楽を伝えたい…。と願う倉木さん。｢あなたと一緒にいたい。｣という世界各国が理解しやすい英語歌詞も交えたこの曲を最後にしたのではと思います。

そして｢Bonus track｣！は｢Over The Rainbow｣のカバー。現在洗剤：トップのCMソングに起用されている曲｢Top of the world｣も洋楽のカバーです！
伸びのある歌声でしっかりと歌い上げる倉木麻衣さんには終始脱帽です！特に出だし｢Somewhere,over the rainbow　Way up high｣が素晴らしくて素晴らしくて！洋楽カバーなど、様々な事に挑戦し続けるであろう倉木麻衣さん！最高です♪

見方によれば｢同じような曲ばかり｣とか｢昔をイメージさせる=昔と同じ｣なんて見方も取れるのですけど、｢変わらない｣というのが一番大切で、大ヒットを記録した1st album｢Delicious Way｣のR&Bを再び見せてくれたのではないでしょうか？
でもそんな中でも歌唱力は随分と上がり、歌唱表現などには本当に脱帽ですよね。
だから｢変わった部分｣もありつつ｢変わらない部分｣も健在という、過去において最高のアルバムを出してくれたな、って心から思っています。
今後も楽しみです！

　まず感じたことは彼女の歌唱力がこれまでと段違いに向上している、ということです。透明感のある心地よい声はそのままに、彼女の声がさらに力強く響いてきます。あと英語もかなり上達しました。聴いてて鳥肌立つくらいです。
　また詞の面でも彼女のリアルを感じ取れる部分が多いです。１０代の頃の前向きな、悪く言ってしまえばきれいごとであった詞ではなく、経験に裏打ちされたであろう自身の心情を聴かせてくれます。だからこそ「ヤバイ」「ありがとう」などの言葉が刺さります。
　総じてこのアルバムは彼女の進化が如実に感じ取れるアルバムといえます。そしてその進化はまだ途上であり、これから活動で更なる成長を私たちに見せてくれると確信できました。彼女はもう十分に実力派であると、自信を持って言えます。

正直、今まで倉木さんのファンではなかったので、あまり気を入れて聴きませんでしたが、このアルバムは素晴らしいですね。
どの曲も出来がよく、one for meなどは特にはまってしまいました。
また、ヴォーカルも表現力が以前より増して、聴きやすくなり、また、力がついて来たと思います。
おそらく、本人は努力家なのでしょう。その成果がよく出ていると思います。

個人的には５つ星ではなく７つ星くらいあげたいです。
