ピンク・フロイドが音楽を担当した、バルベ・シュローデル監督による男女の破滅をテーマにしたドラマ。地中海を臨むイビサ島の浜辺で戯れる恋人同士のエステルとステファン。しかし、次第にドラッグとSEXに溺れ、破滅への道を辿り始める。

10年程前に観て、とても心に残った作品です。久々に購入して、感想が変わるか
と思いましたがあまり変わらなかったですね。

万人には薦めません。多くの方はこの自堕落な破滅劇を「不快」と思うでしょう。

妖女に惑わされ、一人の真面目な青年がイビサ島でオーヴァドースで命を落とす
までを描いています。
イビサの海と空と太陽、地中海地方の独特の街並が美しく、その美しさから段々
乖離して、まるでゴミ屑のように自ら命を落とすまでの話。

魔性の女エステル（決して美人で無い）は、「時々しか愛せない」と言います。
しかし「時々」では無く常にそれを求めると、身体を蝕んで、すべてを失います。

エステルとヘロインに狂って死ぬ青年の、最期の目が虚ろで、イビサの太陽と
対象的です。

1.0 out of 5 stars これって歴史的傑作なんですか？（笑）, 2008/10/13
ピンク・フロイドのファンにとって、モアというアルバム、
そして監督がメンバーに断わりもなく音楽をカットしまくり、
メンバーが激怒したという逸話でこの映画をご存知でしょう。
で、映画の内容は、ジャンキー女をとがめて殴りまくる最低男が、
自分もジャンキーになって最後に死ぬという、何の救いもない
最低極まりない内容でして、特筆すべき点があるなら、地中海だかの
景色が美しいかな…という、あとフロイドファンにとっては、
どういう風に曲が映画の中で使われていたのかがわかるという程度です。
観た時間を返してくれ！！と言いたくなること受け合いですね（笑）
某TS○TAYAに入ってますから、買う前にレンタルで観られる事をお勧めします。

ピンク・フロイドが音楽を担当した映画、ということでロックファンにも著名な映画であるが、だからどうかしたか、というしょうもない内容の映画であり、美人でもない女に惑わされてヤク中になり破滅していく、ドラッグ・カルチャーの伝統を引きずっているだけの前時代の遺物でしかない映画である。私のように、サントラを聞き漁り、「どんなシーンにこの音楽が使われていたのだろうか」と、想像するより方法がなかった時代の人間には、懐かしくもあり且つ失望をももたらす映像であるが、そうでない人(つまりフロイドの音楽に思い入れのない人)には別に勧める価値のない映画である。
ただいかにもヨーロッパで制作された映画だ、と感じさせるのはスペインのイビサ島が舞台であるのに実に様々な言語が入り乱れて聞いていて混乱するのであり、ベースの英語を始めフランス語スペイン語ドイツ語イタリア語ポルトガル語(恐らく、私が聞いて解るのはここまで)の他もう一カ国語が飛び交い、実にコスモポリタンな感覚が味わえて心地よかった。字幕は悲しいかな日本語しかありませんでしたので、果たして何カ国語が使われていたのか、はっきり解る方はおられますかな?
